Except that Nidal Malik Hasan was born in Arlington County, Virginia, so that comparison failed miserably....

I didn't say otherwise about Hasan, but 1 of those 4 hypothetical doctors still may prove to be like him.

Or 1 of them may prove to be the doctor that saves your child's life.

    Decisions, eh?

I believe in proper vetting; not what the Obama administration was doing. A 90-day hold to allow time for proper vetting seems reasonable to me. But I'm opposed to throwing out the baby with the bathwater, which is what the ridiculous rattlesnakes and M&M analogies propose.

Uh excuse me but apparently you and the so called former immigration officer does not understand that these background questions are in fact impossible to answer because they country is war torn, the leaders are corrupt, and the country is ripe with terrorism, war, and no real functioning government. Regardless of what the long standing practice is, which is not in question, the problem lies in the actual ability to get the good answers to those questions.

Simply saying there is a long process and we ask all the right questions does not address what is actually going on. I'm sorry the mass amounts of refugees coming in under Obama cannot be said to have gone through proper vetting.

What else is being ignored is the tragic behaviors of the so called "refugees" that is going on in the UK. Let's stop pretending all is rosy with these refugees and there is no threat by them coming here. It is just not intellectually honest.

If you read the actual process carefully, you can see how it is done. It is possible to get quite a bit of good information.

    Why not?

They were not vetted by the US system. The fact that we don't have those issues here is evidence that what we are doing works.

If you want to discuss or debate this with me you will need to actually address the details of what I said instead of ignoring crucial points.

When I see that term used I think ignorance and provocation. See the left runs off of emotion and the right logic. What is clear to the right is not to the left. It takes a bit of both to make the world work. No need to use words you think are insulting.

You look at the situation and see people in need and want to help. Logically we are hurting everyone over the long run. You can not bring a million people here and offer them food and money at level of comfort that they have never know ad sadly most never leave food stamps. 80% of them bring family that will end up on SS that they have never paid into.

The most motivated and smartest immigrants normally are the ones to migrate. We have been robing the world of their future for the last 20 years. The most motivated, active, resourceful people flee. We keep offering a better life instead of letting them develop on their own.

Countries rise, and they fall. The most compassionate thing we could and can do is nothing. If your compassion dictates you do something then do it there through missionary work like your suppose to.

We are the most generous nation in the world. We constantly and consistently help other people in other nations. All the while there still remains those who are not helped by anyone. We cannot help everyone and even if we never brought in one more single refugee from the areas it would not change the fact that we are still the most generous country in the world.

So what does that mean, we are done because we secured the number 1 spot in generousity.

It means for any country that thinks we're not #1, they can challenge to prove that they are.

The solution has to involve some sort of safe places for them in their own land along with support sand guidance so that they can maintain those safe zones on their own. Bringing them over here doesn’t even begin to put a dent into the problem. What bringing some over here merely does is create problems for us and neglects the safety for our own people. That kind of "action", bringing a flood over here while infiltrating our society with foreign values, has very little value toward addressing the problem other than being a token feel-good gesture for the Progressives whose ultimate goal is an illusion of a One World society with social entitlement for everyone, which is NOT a misrepresentation of that ideology. The above video starts out at the roots of the truth in the Progressive agenda. Nothing else matters to the Progressives who have no desire preserve our way of life and culture.

The fact that bringing some over here cannot possibly solve the ongoing and spreading problem over there isn’t even being looked at logically by the Progressives. In my opinion they merely pretend to look at it with emotion for various reasons with the true goal/the unavoidable logical conclusion being of bringing enough over here to overwhelm our way of life. The only logic that adds up for the action they wish to take which is keep to expanding the refugees into our society is that the Progressives are working toward their goals of that One World society.

If one refuses to address these issues and merely tries to stand on the moral high ground on increasing the flow of refugees into our country their motives seem quite clear and dishonest while showing a lack of respect for the sovereign American way of life, unless they are purely incredibly ignorant of the movement going on, but I doubt that is the case.
