This is a great question. Really jogging the gray matter.

 

There was a guy that played football on the Falcons and later played baseball for the Braves. Same city, different league, different sport. That's the ultimate answer to this question. Too bad I can't remember his name.

 

You're probably talking about hundreds of players with this question. One comes to mind quickly, from what I had just been posting about... Babe Ruth played for the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Braves, and Willie Mays played for the New York Giants and the New York Mets.

And checking, there are 161 players who played for both the Red Sox and Braves; it's likely a third played for both when the Braves were in Boston, where they were for over 50 years.

 

Played for the New York Yankees and Atlanta Falcons, so not the same city.

Correct. And Bo Jackson played for the LA Raiders and California Angels.

 

Browns/Cardinals!

 

Bo Jackson played at least part of the time with the Royals.
Ron Santo played for the Cubs and spent his last couple of years with that unmentionable southside team. I think Don Kessinger may have done the same. At least he managed the Pale Hose for a while.
Of course, Michael Jordan played for the Bulls and White Sox.

 

Dizzy Dean pitched for the St. Louis Cardinals and Browns.
