Can anyone tell me anything about this Church? They have a large church just down the street from the Baptist church I'm a member of.

Some of their members and their Pastor visit our church for our Easter sunrise service every year.

From the Wiki : One of its more distinctive features is that there is no formal membership,

There slogan is "Where Salvation makes you a member"

and If I am not mistaken COG (A-I) also believes in Soul sleep)

One of my closest friends is a Church of God, Anderson pastor and a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary. I asked him if the denomination believes in 'Soul Sleep'. He said he has never heard of anyone in the denomination that believes in that. Do you have a source?

I've known many COG Anderson members and found, except for eternal security, and nitpicking certain scriptures, to be very similar to baptistic beliefs. A for instance would be the two ordinances.

That would more likely be those who follow the teachings of Herbert W. Armstrong and what used to be the "Worldwide" Church of God. WCG became more orthodox after Armstrong's death, leading to a number of splinter groups, all calling themselves some variation of "Church of God"...

The original Worldwide Church of God changed its name to Grace Communion International to distance itself from this confusion.

'WCs', abbreviation for <<this confusion ... Worldwide Church of God>>,
like

'SDA' for the <confusion>, Seventh-day Adventists;
like

'RC' for the <confusion>, Rotten Christianity.
