Second, while I tend to be distrustful of government, I am not willing to jump to full blown conclusions simply because I do not like the decisions. You are making claims (i.e. Assad's guilt is anything but clear) without knowing everything our government and other nation governments know. It is not just the US that is saying Assad is guilty.

No, I do not assume Powell lied. I believe he was misled by our government at that point in time. Unlike you, apparently, I remembered the chain of events at the time and also did some studying into the incident.
