I enjoy the show as well. It is on NBC TV, not Fox. It's been on for one season (since September 2016) going on hiatus from mid-December to mid-January. It's not been renewed for 2017 (yet.)

 

Wow!! Dunno how I missed that series, as I love GOOD Sc-Fi and would love to see this if I can drum it up somewhere.

 

Should be able to see it on Hulu or NBC.com or Amazon. Recommended.

 

I LOVE that show, but you know what I finally figured out, "Time" doesn't exist, no I'm not crazy. Augustine even said "The future isn't here, the past is gone, and there are no moments, so wherein time"?

Time is not a "Thing", it has no power, we don't experience time as a force, we experience CHANGE, IE in these types of shows, if we believe it, then God is still talking to Moses, Christ is still on the world, and I think it goes to the "Being" of God, He's the ONLY "Being", He's immutable, unchanging, we all change, we are all "Becommings", right NOW I'm different then when I typed it. It's like the Greek Philosophers said "You can never see the same river twice", why? Because each moment it changes, same with us, all change except God, so time doesn't exist.

What if we eliminated all Calendars, all watches, or better yet changed them, each 365 days is one day, see we can manipulate "Time" because it isn't anything, like "Chance", just a word with no force behind it.

Anyways thought of that the other day, wanted to try it on people.

 

Hasn't been two seasons. They took a month off over the Christmas season, that's all.

Watched the first three or four episodes. It wasn't very good and I got tired of the black guy giving the "history isn't the best place for me" speech.

On the other hand, I've been watching Making History on Fox and, except for the way it portrays Adams and Hancock, is pretty funny, especially the "fish out of water" storyline of the 18th century Colonial girl experiencing modern life.

One of my favorite time travel shows was Journeyman, which I believe is still on Netflix. Kind of like Quantum Leap, except that he "leaps" completely randomly and can't control it. So unlike Quantum Leap, where Sam "leaps" back to the past until the problem is solved, the guy from Journeyman leaps back and forth, and often at very in opportune times. And while he leaps back to the past, there is another time traveler who leaps forward from her time in the 1940s.

 

Having a hard time understanding it? I'd keep that expression up until your tick stops!! keep thinking and you'll say "Yes there is no time, only change, really sorry you're having such a hard time

FOX currently has a time travel show. Maybe that's what got you confused.

 

Yes, and it's terrible. It's coarse, vulgar, lowbrow humor aimed at teenaged boys.

 

I must not have gotten to that episode, yet.

So far, the only thing I can think of that's objectionable is the way they portray (Sam) Adams and Hancock as a couple of drunken buffoons and the way Paul Revere is portrayed.

There's no sex in the show. Two of the main characters who are boyfriend and girlfriend are living together outside of wedlock, but only because, technically, one of them does not exist here and, as a result, would have no way to hold a job or have a home, and sex between the two of them is never implied.

 

First episode. Time travelling professor steps out of time machine and promptly pukes, later he drinks from Samuel Adams' chamber pot. When Samuel Adams is asked what they do for fun around here, he says, "some of the church men get together for Satanic sex orgies in the woods". Hancock says he's going to get sick on drinking creek water and have a diarrhea attack.

So yes, crass, coarse, vulgar, low brow humor.

 

Neither motion sickness nor intestinal parasites are crass and vulgar.

Adams is being facetious when he tells him about the "Satanic sex orgy", telling him that they're just teasing him because he's an outsider.

We've watched every episode up to this point and, yes, it's dumb, but one of the things that's been striking to us is that there is virtually no objectionable content.
