I'm not much on sci-fi, but I have to make an exception with "Timeless"
(Fox-TV Network, not to be confused with Fox News Network).
In summary, it's a show about a crew at some top secret government
facility (of course) who have two time machines which look like a couple
of eye-balls.
In the pilot, A bad guy (Flynn) takes one at gun point, along with two
accomplices and whoooshh!- they go back to 6 May 1936 to the Hindenburg
disaster. What follows would be a spoiler if you haven't seen it yet.
What I found suprizing about this show is every time they go back to
some time period or another, something happens that slightly alters
the time continuum, but never changes it. Makes for some very interesting
television, not unlike other time travel shows or movies where history resets
itself after the seemingly time travelers mess it up.
They venture back such periods (in no particular order here)
-The Alamo
-Watergate
-Revolutionary War and Gen. George Washington
-Gemini Space Program
-The Lincoln Assassination
-WWII Nazi Germany where they meet author Ian Fleming
(creator of the James Bond novels)
-Jesse James
-Bonnie and Clyde
-Al Capone and Elliot Ness
-JFK, Frank Sinatra, but no Marilyn Monroe
-So far they haven't featured the Titanic.
....you get the idea.
It's on hiatus right now after two seasons. No one knows for sure.
