God sent you to be a witness to those in your own community...
...by community I mean those you have a personal connection to
John, you are not responsible to witness to the whole world, God gave that responsibility to the whole church.

Be responsible to those near you, those that God gave you a personal desire to reach.
I commend you for your desire and willingness to share the Word of God.
I personally think you should narrow your focus and personalize the message you send to others, showing love to each and bathing your efforts in personal prayer for each individual.

Writing letters is impersonal and unfruitful.

Well on the WOTM Radio podcast I have heard episodes of them witnessing to Jewish Rabbi's, going into their temples and witnessing to them, witnessing to cult pastors, etc.. We are to preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15) and while I cannot witness to the whole world, I can witness to as many as I can, for if I do not, then who will? Given how most christians do not witness these days, what I have is a rare passion, and the WOTM a rare gift.

If they did not want to be contacted then its incredibly stupid of them to have websites with either a email address, or a contact form. I have had many, many conversations with people over the years via email, and phone.

You've used the word "stupid" twice in the thread.

I'd suggest you never use the word again.

    It's working against your message.

I thought his response was both biblical and insightful. What is your objection to his post?

"Made up" implies "lie." Please enlighten me as to your accusation that I have simply made something up (lied).

Is this your attitude toward anyone you do not agree with?

You will need to conduct a lot of study becoming familiar with Jewish practices. Also, and especially you must become very knowledgeable on how Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies.

I would also say that you cannot simply began speaking about converting without first establishing a relationship with those you will attempt to bring to Christ. It will have to be a relationship of mutual trust and friendship. You must be willing to listen to them without responding with hostile or impolite replies.

Think of what it would take for you to be willing to talk to a person off another faith who was trying to evangelize you to their religion.

Crabby, about the only thing you and I agree on is that we disagree on most everything - yet we have a mutual respect for each other (even if you dont like Mt Dew!)

Here is a place to start.

Jewish Books: 18 Essential Texts Every Jew Should Read | HuffPost

If there is a seminary, either Christian or Jewish, you should be able to find good book in their library.

    Good luck and pleasant reading.

Realize that there are are differing groups with Judaism , as some are ultra conservative, other secualr humanists!
And best to talk to Jews on an individual basis, and persuade them first from the OT regarding the coming messiah prophecies!
