We all believe that Demons are fallen angels.

Other than their sin - what differences between angels and demons?

Do they both possess the same powers.

Angels and demons are supernatural beings, and exist in a different higher way, as non flesh and blood, but both bound to obey Jesus!

So those early New Testament possessions..... were those demons or unclean spirits ?

The bible seems to indicate that demons are just evil angels that chose to follow the serpent Satan. The rules of this rebellion as set by God, and the nature of the heavenly war itself being information we have very little knowledge of from the Word of God.

Unlike the unbiblical angelology and demonology that has propagated throughout church history, the bible does not say evil angels suddenly become grotesque or physically different for falling. Also, as spiritual bodies, demons seem to be able to possess people despite being physical beings as well. Beyond this, we have to be very careful, as the Word of God says very few things about how demons do things, what they do, how they war with God, how Satan runs them, or how they govern the earth (that Satan and his demons govern the earth in some way seems confirmed by Ephesians 6:12 and 1 John 5:19).

It is obvious that all angels do not even poses "the same powers"

I agree given the clear differences between Seraphim in Isaiah (Isaiah 6:1-4) and Cherubim in Ezekiel (Ezekiel 1, Ezekiel 10:9-22). Angels come in multiple types with each type of angel seeming to have a different kind of body and different physical powers, and possibly different spiritual powers (given we do not know how the spiritual gifts work with angels). That said, we do not know what angels such and such powers or even all the types of angels there are.

Possession seems to be the main difference between angels and demons in the bible. I have not seen any angels possess people in the bible, but demons seem to possess people as a matter of fact, including even Satan when it came to Judas (Luke 13:27, John 13:27).
