So you are saying (and I am being kind here)... That Jesus lied?

that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

That's not how I see and understand the passage... Also Jesus final dying words on the cross... "IT IS FINISHED"!... What was finished?... What was fulfilled?... What was destroyed?... Something's passed away and something's remained... What were they?... Brother Glen:)
What was finished was the sin death atonement that allowed God to now freely justify the sinner who received Jesus thru faith, but my point was that in those discussions of when the temple would be destroyed and signs of His returning, as not all of those events he foretold happened AD 70!

OP: Spiritual understanding.

I have a couple of questions.

Genesis 2:1-3 KJV Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
Exodus 20:8-11 KJV Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Leviticus 23:1-4 KJV And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings. These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

1. Was and is the Sabbath essentially prophetic? Have we seen the ultimate fulfillment of the Sabbath?

Leviticus 23:4 KJV These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

Verse 5 KJV In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD'S Passover.

2. Was the fourteenth day of the first month, the Lord's Passover prophetic of something?
3. Was the fourteenth day of the first month a day of holy convocation, that is, an holy convocation, day?
4. When was the ultimate fulfillment of the Lord's Passover?

Leviticus 23: 6-44 KJV or any other, Please read for yourselves.

5. Does Leviticus 23:6-44 list seven days, that are a day of holy convocation, a day on which no work is to be done, that follower the day of ultimate fulfillment of the Lord's Passover?
6. Did the ultimate fulfillment of the Lord's Passover end or begin the salvation of the Lord for men?
7. Such as; Could the sins of sinful men be washed away, forgiven, until the ultimate fulfillment of the Lord's Passover?
8. Could sinful men be considered, in the eyes of the Lord, without sin, clean, unleavened, until after the ultimate fulfillment of the of the Lord's Passover?
9. Did the first day, of holy convocation, one of seven days of holy convocation have to follow the ultimate fulfillment of the Lord;s Passover?
10. Was it possible for the Holy Spirit to be given, before the ultimate fulfillment of the Lord's Passover? John 7:39
11. Did the Holy Spirit come on a day of holy convocation?
12. Were and are the feast of the Lord, days of holy convocation, prophetic?
13. Have all the days of holy convocation been fulfilled or there some that are shadows of the reality, to come?
14. What kicked off the beginning of the salvation of the Lord?

BTW IMHO the faith of God (the Father) in the obedient death of the Son of God, resulted in the salvation of the Lord through the resurrection of the Son of God by God the Father. Ref. Phil 2:8-9. Heb 5:7-9 Titus 2:11 Gal 1:1 1 Cor 15:16-18

You ask searching questions. Have you been happy with the answers I have given previously?

A simple answer is to say, "read Hebrews" as he discusses Sabbath rest and other questions related to typical and prophetic fulfilment of the old covenant Law and Prophets.

I suggest that the OT saints were in a saved relationship with God, living by faith and with the indwelling Holy Spirit. Better to look for similarities than differences.

In the OC salvation was through the ordinances, yet by personal faith. In the NC it is through the Gospel. The promises to Abraham, enjoyed by the people of Israel, are now enjoyed by all the redeemed, one people of God by faith in Christ.

That's a start. We are all looking forward to being in the presence of our Saviour at death, and to the glory of the resurrection in the NH&NE.

Was the Lord Jesus Christ mistaken when he declared:
I tell you the truth, this generation shall certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
Or are you mistaken?
