The Wind blows where it will

    Jesus explained in John 3 Salvation, just as He did in John 6, which is so clear. But it's 3 that's so often missed.

    Jesus explains to Nicodemus that one must be born again, Nicodemus says "How can one go back into his mothers womb", Jesus now hits it, "that which is born of flesh is flesh, that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit".

    He is now speaking of being born of the Spirit, salvation. Jesus makes it crystal clear, no "You must do these three steps", or "You must come forward and give your life to the King", now He makes this wonderful statement.

    "The Wind blows where it may, you know not where it comes from nor where it goes, SO IT IS WITH EVERYONE BORN OF THE SPIRIT". How much clearer can He get?

    He just makes the analogy, born again, and that which is born of flesh is flesh, that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit, then explains how, referring to the Spirit: "The Wind blows where it may, you know not where it comes from nor where it goes, SO IS IT EVERYONE BORN OF THE SPIRIT". So where is mans will in this? It's not found

    1 Corinthians 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. You can't know the things of God until you get "born of the Spirit", otherwise you're just like a man who hears the wind but can't see it and don't know where it came from or where it's going. And Nicodemus still didn't understand salvation after that because Jesus then said.........
    Jhn 3:9
    Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
    Jhn 3:10
    Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

    However, skip on down a few verses and read 13-21 where Jesus DID explain salvation to Nicodemus....then fast forward to John 19:39 and we find where Nicodemus had evidently become a believer. There's just one problem. Right in the middle of that explanation is John 3:16.

    hn 3:16
    For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

    God is love. He loved the whole world sir. His love is perfect and unlimited, just like He is. "Only Believe" Jesus said

    1. You failed to include the actual context of this discussion Jesus is having.
    2. Whether or not man is responsible for responding is not in view in this passage.
    3. This section of scripture is not nor is it intended to be an exhaustive understanding of all the mechanics of salvation.
    4. The question "So where is mans will in this?" is a strawman. No one is arguing that man's will is in this passage.

    Satan believes there is a God alright. But He doesn't TRUST in God. Big difference.
