Where does it meet? Who is the Pastor? Who are the Deacons? What name do I make my tithe check out to?
Jesus is its head.... And they assemble every day somewhere in the world, as when they gather together, its the church.

Jesus is its head.
Does he call on His members in their homes? Does he shake hands with people as they leave?
And they assemble every day somewhere in the world
Really? And just where, exactly, do every person from all times assemble? Can you give me an address. I would like to visit this "universal (Latin: Catholic) church."

By the way, can you give me the scripture that talks about this "universal (Catholic) church?"

You will meet all of us in heaven, under the Church of the FirstBorn!

The Church of the Firstborn :
The First Baptist Church of New Jerusalem
Meets every day, all day.
All are invited: :)

Matthew 11
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

So you are admitting your "universal church" is fictitious? Meeting at a fictitious address?

Glad to see you have come around to the biblical position. :)

It seems folks like to talk or post about theology without ever taking a position. What is the "universal" church? Every person who has been born anew, whether still living on earth, or having passed away is enrolled in heaven. Hebrews 12:22-24. There are no tares, each member is wheat - rather than membership being based on professing to be called out, membership is based on God's action to transfer the individual from the realm of darkness into the kingdom of His Son.

Every time the local church assembles together, there will be some in the building part of it!
So it does not assemble. It is just little pieces all over the world? I don't think you know what "assemble" means. "Assemble" means to get TOGETHER, all in ONE PLACE.

So again, where does this "universal church" get TOGETHER all in ONE PLACE?

Exactly. There is, as I have been saying, no "universal church" on earth!

There is no single church organization here on earth called that, but its made up of all of the saved here on the earth!
So, the "universal church" does not include the saved already in heaven? Then it isn't "universal" is it?

But not those who will be saved in the future, so it is not really universal?
Rather than the Universal Church I like to call it the church know only to God.
I don't like "the Invisible Church" because it sounds like the name of a sci-fi movie.

Also we here on earth are simultaneously here and in the heavenlies seated with Him.

My point is, of course, that the term "universal church" carries far to much baggage with it (while undermining the primacy of the true, local, New Testament Church belonging to the Lord Jesus Christ).

I refer to that mystical group made up of all the redeemed from all times the way the bible does. "The Family of God." (Bill Gaither got that one right.) :)

That works for me.
