For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. Romans 1:17
Ὁ δὲ δίκαιος ἐκ πίστεως ζήσεται
The yet righteous one out of faith shall be living.

And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Matt 3:15-17
Did that, "fulfill all righteousness," or did it picture how, "all righteousness," would be fulfilled?
But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished! Luke 12:50
Did that baptism fulfill all righteousness? Did it require obedience of faith?
Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow, And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
