But we see a good example in how people can wrest pretty simple principles in God's Word to make them fit what they want to believe. What they do is deny that babes in the womb are in fact even people, thus...no murder.

Now think about this: in abortion there is a violation of the principle of God's Word which is, man shall not intentionally take the life of another man, or his own life is forfeit. So when a man kills someone, he is to be put to death. Two men are killed, only one is murder.

By the way, if you are not familiar with it, this is one passage that makes it clear God views the babe in the womb as a person with equal rights to those who are born:


Exodus 21:22-25
King James Version (KJV)

22 If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.

23 And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life,

24 Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,

25 Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.


The child is the subject, and if "mischief follow" (the incident), then a like recompense is exacted upon the offender. And it doesn't say "Life for fetus," it says life for life.

22 “If men struggle with each other and strike a woman with child so that [a]she gives birth prematurely, yet there is no injury, he shall surely be fined as the woman’s husband may demand of him, and he shall pay [c]as the judges decide. 23 But if there is any further injury, then you shall appoint as a penalty life for life, 24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 burn for burn, wound for wound, [d]bruise for bruise.

Yeah... I also started a thread praising Trump and listing all the reasons the world would be better if there were no Muslims, and they labeled me a racist Nazi and said I was a former Nazi who got banned before. Forums are privately owned so they can ban a person who has not even violated the rules just because they don't like them.

This forum is usually pretty good about letting people present their views, and doesn't ban simply because people teach doctrine that isn't consistent with Baptist Beliefs (and one reason to consider in that is that Baptists vary greatly, and there are many different types). They will ban when someone teaches heresy and will not debate those issues or heed "warnings." And one thing I will say is that if our Doctrine is Biblically sound, we can go anywhere and preach and never be banned once.

And I wanted to let you know that the other thread was closed, not because of something you said, but because forum policy is that threads are usually closed after 8 pages, or, if the members are simply arguing and hurling insults. So that thread ran its course, and you are free, if you want to continue the discussion, to make a "Part Two" thread.

God does grant sainthood - right through the Church under the authority granted to it here on earth by Jesus Christ. But really, what is this anyway? It is bringing to the fore Christians who have led lives that stand out, lives that we should seek to emulate. What would some examples be?

Let's see, how about Father Maximum Kolbe? He was a Catholic priest who agreed to die by starvation in place of another inmate in a Nazi concentration camp during WW2. I think that qualifies. Hey, how about St. Paul? We all know how he died. Did you ever hear of Stephen from the Book of Acts? A saint if there ever was one! How about St. Peter, does his name ring a bell? James, son of Zebedee was a martyr and an instant saint. And on, and on, and on, many proclaimed throughout the ages and with each one inspired by Jesus Christ.

Human proclamations of sainthood don't mean squat. Jesus did NOT grant humans any authority to name another human as a saint. That's just something the RCC made up as part of their pomp & circumstance.

The ONLY sainthood that matters is that granted by JESUS CHRIST! It's the ONLY sainthood declaration that'll admit one to heaven.
