As a 9 year old child, Ellen G White took a severe blow to the head from a rock. She was in a comatose state for a period of three weeks. She later heard voices in her head, saw visions and smelled flowers. What they didn't know then that they do now is that frontal lobe injury explains all of her hallucinations.

Here is a report written by medical doctors: http://www.truthorfables.com/EGW Temporal Lobe.pdf

Ellen G. White --An obvious case of Temporal Lobe Epilepsy which is also termed Psychomotor Epilepsy and more recently Complex Partial Seizers. These patients also have more frequently Hysterical Dissociative Episodes which the ignorant people of her day called "visions". The content of her "visions" was Paranoid since this was a prominent aspect of functioning. In the 20th Century she would have been referred to a Neuropsychiatric Clinic for diagnosis and treatment. Neither God or the Devil had anything to do with her "visions". The "true church" rest

solely on her brain damaged temporal lobe caused by a rock which caused her comatose state in her youth.

That would make far more sense than having her receiving revelation from God directly!

It would, but she is still going to held accountable for leading millions astray. She had better hope she is snuffed out rather than reap what she has coming.

Is it even possible that I have not been given enough open-door opportunities by you -- to keep posting THIS??

    =========================================
A graduate student working on an advanced degree at Teachers’ College, Columbia University, in 1959 discovered a copy of Ellen White’s Education in the personal reference library of Florence Stratemeyer. Stratemeyer, a leading educator and professor of education, was invited to give an address before a convention of Adventist teachers in Washington, D.C. In it she said, among other things: “Recently the book Education, by Ellen G. White, has been brought to my attention. Written at the turn of the century, this volume was more than fifty years ahead of its times. And I was surprised to learn that it was written by a woman with but three years of schooling.

Six years earlier Professor Tsunekichi Mizuno of Japan’s Tamagawa University (and formerly head of the Tokyo Museum of Science and director of social education for the Japanese Ministry of Education) recommended Education to parents, teachers, and students. He called it “most profitable reading in our understanding of the ‘New Education.’”

The minister of education of a southern European country had been studying at Teachers’ College, Columbia University. He had come to the United States for the newest and best in educational policy and program of his newborn state. Upon his return to southern Europe, Raja R. Radosavlyevish “authored” a work on religious and moral education. It was written in the Serbian language, published by the state university press, and acclaimed by that institution as the “best book” on religious education in that language. When Adventist church leaders in Serbia read the work, they recognized it immediately—it was a translation of Ellen White’s Education, with an introduction written by the Serbian minister of education. Eighty percent of the new book came directly from Ellen White’s pen! Was it plagiarism? Who knows the good man’s motivation? If Charles Caleb Colton is correct in his dictum (“Imitation is the sincerest [form] of flattery”), then Adventists should indeed feel flattered!

Those are all non-SDAs looking "at the text" --

In 1960 Paul Harvey, American Broadcasting Company news commentator and United Features syndicated columnist, wrote a 16-paragraph article featuring Ellen White. It began:
“Once upon a time, a hundred years ago, there lived a young lady named Ellen White. She was frail as a child, completed only grammar school [actually, she never really finished the third grade], and had no technical training, and yet she lived to write scores of articles and many books on the subject of ‘healthful living.’ “Remember, this was in the days when doctors were still bloodletting and performing surgery with unwashed hands. This was in an era of medical ignorance bordering on barbarism. Yet Ellen White wrote with such profound understanding of the subject of nutrition that all but two of the many principles she espoused have been scientifically established.” Harvey then pointed out how she was correct about the preference for olive oil over animal fat in the diet. We recognize now her wisdom in scoring refined white flour as lacking in nutritive value. Her warnings concerning the dangers of overuse of salt and irregularity in eating have proved correct.
In 1960 there were two unverified statements from her pen: the use of multigrains instead of merely whole wheat in breadmaking, and vegetarianism.

Nine years later columnist Harvey did an update on Mrs. White for his newspaper readers across America. After citing the low incidence of strokes, respiratory diseases, and cancer among Adventists, he continued: “It has tended to reaffirm the faith of the faithful to discover that the most advanced scientific findings support what was written and taught by this amazing little lady, Ellen White, more than a century ago. If future scientific findings continue to support hers, let’s see what tomorrow’s doctors will be prescribing: “Ellen White advised against overeating. Also against crash dieting. (‘Do not go to extremes.’) Minimal sweets. (She said that sugar is not good for the stomach.) “She recommended grains, vegetables, fruits—especially apples. (‘Apples are superior to any fruit.’) “She recommended against meat. Coffee, and tea. And, sorry, no hot biscuits. “If some of her recommendations sound extreme, imagine how they must have sounded in 1863. Yet modern science continues more and more to say, ‘She was right’!

So then it is "paranoid" to recommend olive oil over animal fat, and low salt diets, and multigrain over just whole wheat, and fresh air for tuberculosis patients, and plant based diets over high animal fat and high cheese diets.

The result of Ellen White's visions on health alone resulted in Adventists creating one of only 5 "Blue Zones" in the world where people have longer than average life spans.

The utter nonsense in the emotionnalism in your approach so far - as compared to actual facts - is astounding.

I'm actually a vegan, Bob, but what does that have to do with the price of tea in China? I agree that SDA members have a heathy diet, when it comes to their dinner. Unfortunately, they drink spiritual poison for desert. Five or ten more years of life on Earth is no conciliation for the judgement that awaits.

    1. Were you a vegan in the 1800's? at a time when that was considered unhealthy in America?
    2. Did you start an entire health and hospital system teaching the right diet and exercise -- teaching that cancer was caused by smoking long before science found out about it?
    3. Did you promote the healthy exercise, water, sunshine, sleep, plant-based-foods program in sanitarium after sanitarium in the 1800's
    4. Do you have the second largest Christian Hospital and healthcare system in the World?
    5. Is your writing on health upheld by scientists and healthcare professionals today as being far ahead of its time?

My reply covered all of your points. God designed men to eat fruit and veg. You see. I do read my Bible.

Actually "veganism" stems from false and pagan religions. You may look it up. Vegans are allowed to drink 'alcohol' [as it is plant based, most times, except for the honey-wines, etc], but a Seventh-day Adventist, under Bible commandment of Jesus, are not allowed to do so. "Vegans" are not supposed to eat 'honey', since it is an animal-by-product [according to them]. but the Bible [KJB] says to eat so much as is good for one, and not too much less it be vomited up. There are other spiritual differences and reasons for the diets as well. In the beginning, it was fresh raw fruits and seeds, living by every word of God.

Anyone may read about sister White, and the injury in her own words, Chapter 1 of the Testimonies for the Church, Volume 1 - http://www.truthfortheendtime.com/SOPText/Testimonies_for_the_Church/Testimonies for the Church Volume 1.pdf

True Seventh-day Adventists, which follow the scriptual principles, are whole [body, mind, spirit] Health-reform, Bible based reformationist.

3 John 1:2 KJB - Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

1 Corinthians 6:20 KJB - For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

    1 Peter 1:15 KJB - But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

1 Peter 1:16 KJB - Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Where is Peter quoting from, and what is it surrounded by???

While many within Seventh-day Adventist circles use words like "veganism", etc, it is not really correct, but I generally do not argue with them on it, but teach truth where I go.

God commanded that Adam and Eve eat a plant-based diet.

There is no prohibition against drink alcohol. Jesus not only made a barrel of it, He drank it! On top of that, those of us headed to the Great Wedding Banquet, will drinking the finest wine and eating veal.

    Yes. I know. I have.

As stated "veganism" is not the same as the terminology used, in regards "plant-based diet". I used the words "plant-based" in regards the various avenues of which alcohol is made in general. "Veganism" has its roots in occultice paganism, and whose reasons are different that what is provided in Genesis.

Not so, and I may demonstrate this if you would like, from scripture [KJB] itself. There are two [general] kinds of 'wine' in the Bible, and Jesus made no such thing as that likened unto a 'keg' a frat party. He made the pure blood of the grape, fresh from Himself, the True Vine, pure blood, pure doctrine, pure sacrifice, which is what a "vine" in real life does, converts water [nutrients] into grape juice. Nothing of fermentation, nothing of inTOXICation, and never would. Say the word, and by the grace of God, I will show all evidence.

There is no more flesh to eat in the kingdom of Heaven. No more dying, no more suffering animals, etc.

Then, let her be rightly represented, not through pseudoscience and some unverified science falsely [sci-fi] so-called. Look at the evidences of the volumes of material written, the subject matter covered, the lives changed, health restored, marriages reconciled, sinners converted, educational systems embracing, and she cannot claim [and would not claim] it heres, but of Her Lord Jesus Christ.

Such a condition as is suggested to her, could never produce such order, meticulousness, nor een of the knowledge of things of which she had not previous understanding in science whether in the heavens or on earth, nor of the deliverance from the confusion of the devil, in education, medical, religious, home, garden, etc, etc.

Nor would such a condition, as is slighted to her, grant her the peace, her speech in vision, her strength, calmness, and etc.

The comparison to which you and they suggest to actual facts in her life are laughable. Pick any point you like, and let us see the materials between them both. Ready when you are.

Brother, you are speaking to a Seventh-day Adventist. We understand the message of health, and wrote quite a bit of material on it.

However, let's consider the JAMA, on "Clinicopathological Evaluation of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy in Players of American Football" [ie, sustained brain/head injuries] - Evaluation of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy in Football Players

    From the abstract:

"... Results Among 202 deceased former football players (median age at death, 66 years [interquartile range, 47-76 years]), CTE was neuropathologically diagnosed in 177 players (87%; median age at death, 67 years [interquartile range, 52-77 years]; mean years of football participation, 15.1 [SD, 5.2]), including 0 of 2 pre–high school, 3 of 14 high school (21%), 48 of 53 college (91%), 9 of 14 semiprofessional (64%), 7 of 8 Canadian Football League (88%), and 110 of 111 National Football League (99%) players. Neuropathological severity of CTE was distributed across the highest level of play, with all 3 former high school players having mild pathology and the majority of former college (27 [56%]), semiprofessional (5 [56%]), and professional (101 [86%]) players having severe pathology. Among 27 participants with mild CTE pathology, 26 (96%) had behavioral or mood symptoms or both, 23 (85%) had cognitive symptoms, and 9 (33%) had signs of dementia. Among 84 participants with severe CTE pathology, 75 (89%) had behavioral or mood symptoms or both, 80 (95%) had cognitive symptoms, and 71 (85%) had signs of dementia. ..."

While this is sustained [continuous] damage, the results are basically the same, just more pronounced. Sister White did not manifest any such symptoms, especially in her writing. If you want to look at a more speciifc case, or non-sustained, we can.

Last time I checked, football players don't have rocks throw at their heads, and they wear helmets. A rock produces a focused impact and injury, unlike the contact produced while playing football.

What we know about Ellen White's injury, we know by observing her actions and writings. Delusions of grandeur, right. She thought herself the one prophet who God gave vital information to, and she was of course, as you, part of the "remnant".

Those are delusions, and the rock explains them.

I'm trying to give you an out. Take it.

Saul of Tarsis [Paul] fell to the ground. Lost his sight, thus received injury:

Acts 9:4 KJB - And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

Acts 9:8 KJB - And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.

Acts 22:7 KJB - And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

Acts 26:14 KJB - And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

Paul saw a vision of Jesus and heard his voice. Paul then was given a mission. He wrote many pages to the churches [7 church letters we have, just like John], and was styled as the "apostle of the Gentiles":

Romans 11:13 KJB - For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
Paul thus received visions, and claimed to be caught up into heaven [bodily or just in mind/spirit, he did not know]:

2 Corinthians 12:2 KJB - I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.

He claimed to receive vital information for the churches, and special insight into their issues.

Delusions of grandeur? Head injury? [after all he fell to the ground right?] He was 'hit by the ROCK [Christ Jesus] in the head/heart', right?
