My Dad pastored Faith BC in Racine (GARBC; no longer there) from 1965 to 1970, so I graduated from Horlick HS there.

We moved back here 4 years ago after 33 years in Japan so I could teach at Baptist College of Ministry. We may know some of the same people: the Van Gelderens (we go way back), Pastor Roberts in Mukwonago (recently had lunch with him).

There is a revival movement beginning here. A bunch of pastors recently met at Camp Joy for a day of fasting and prayer. Do you know Dr. Rick Flanders? He pastored for many years in Juniata, MI, but now travels as an evangelist and Revival historian, coming often to Wisconsin.

Maranatha Baptist Bible College is still going strong with about 1000 students. Northland is gone, out of business as a college, though they recently started up again as just a Bible institute. (They ignored their constituency.)

I heard of Pastor Van Gelderen but he came to Wisconsin just before I left. I was part of the BBF did you know Pastor Randy King in Oshkosh

Haven't met him. Alas, the BBF churches rarely had in or supported us missionaries from Baptist World Mission. :(

Bro. Oulette? Never got support there, but knew him. We had about a dozen supporting churches in MI.

No doubt the same family. Wayne Van Gelderen Sr. pastored in Chicago for many years. His son Wayne Jr. became his youth pastor and assistant, but then came up here to Menomonee Falls, a suburb of Milwaukee, where he pastors Falls Baptist Church.

The whole family is great. Wayne Jr. has two brothers who are evangelists, Jim and John. When they were little boys their Dad, Wayne Sr., took them to see John R. Rice (my granddad). He laid hands on them and prayed for them to be evangelists--and so they are!
