“So he told them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her. And if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”” (Mark 10:11–12)

A man marries and divorces. He then marries again and he and his new wife have 3 children.

The man gets saved and so does his wife.

What should he do? Admit his conduct was sin and confess that sin and love his new wife and kids as Jesus expects him to?

Or should he abandon them and join the church of "Holier Than Thou" and let his wife and kids starve?

1689Dave, you have the very worst understanding of the bible of anyone I have ever encountered on the Baptist Board. Not to mention you refuse to honestly answer honest and sincere questions posted by others. Shame on you. The Lord rebuke you!

How do you continue in sin?

1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

“For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,” (Hebrews 10:26)

Which begs the question that SovereignGrace has asked you about a dozen times and which you can't answer, "How many sins have you committed against your will?"

Do you have any real understanding of what Hebrews is talking about? In chapter 10 and verse 26 the writer is speaking rhetorically. In fact, down in verse 39 he excludes himself and all genuine believers from this category!

He says those who "sin willingly." The Greek word means an habitual intention. The sin is rejecting Christ willingly, deliberately. (Remember, Hebrews is written to HEBREWS!)

When the writer says there is no longer a sacrifice he is saying the apostate unbeliever is beyond salvation because he has rejected the only sacrifice that can cleanse him from all sin, the sacrifice of Christ, so he has no saving alternative (the OT sacrifice of bulls and goats could not save).

You need to find a good bible preaching bible teaching church and humble yourself under a God called and God ordained pastor/teacher and learn what the bible actually has to say.

Make what you want out of it. God's elect will not remain in an adulterous relationship. The tares will and will find plenty of company about.

Jesus did likewise. That's who I learned it from.

God's elect do not abandon their wives and children, nor do God's elect encourage others to do so.

So, you are admitting you didn't understand what Hebrews 10:26 is teaching and that by trying to use that verse to support your error you made an even worse error?

God's elect are not in that situation.
“Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.” (1 John 3:9–10)

I'm not making excuses for sin by denying what it says.

So you are saying that when an unsaved man with children gets saved that his children just disappear? They evaporate into nothingness?

Hey "T" did you know that God's people do not ever make that kind of mistake? There are some mistakes (sin) we commit and there are others we never commit. Did you know that?

You are denying what it says by refusing to see it is addressed to lost apostate Hebrews who reject Christ as Lord and Savior and that Paul exempts himself and all true believers from that category.

So now you are blaming God for all your sin?
