Salvation Formula

Revealing Grace + Repentance + Faith + Election + Spiritual Baptism + Conversion + Indwelling = Salvation + Good Works

Where:

Revealing Grace = hearing and understanding the call through the gospel of Christ.

Repentance + Faith = turning from our self-centered life to trusting in Christ alone with our life, now and forever.

Election = God choosing for salvation those whose faith He credits as righteousness.

Spiritual Baptism = God sets a person apart by placing them spiritually “in Christ.”

Conversion = Once “in Christ” a person undergoes the circumcision of Christ and arises “in Christ” a new creation, created for good works. It is a spiritual work of God, not us changing our minds.

Indwelling = After God puts us spiritually in Christ, He seals us with the Holy Spirit forever. The Holy Spirit provides each born again (converted) believer with light to understand the meat of God’s word, awareness of the will of God, and brings to mind our sins such that we are convicted. As we grow more mature, we will exhibit the fruit of the Spirit.

Salvation = First our "spiritual baptism into Christ" results in "positional sanctification" freeing us from the penalty of sin; Next as our indwelt Holy Spirit leads us from new born Christian to Christian maturity describes our "progressive sanctification" freeing us from the power of sin; and finally our adoption in glorified bodies at Christ's second coming results in our "ultimate sanctification" freeing us from the presence of sin.

Good Works = reflects our accomplishments for Christ after our positional sanctification and conversion during the remainder of our physical lifetime. If we build on Christ's foundation, we will enter heaven "abundantly" but if our "good works" burn up like straw, we still enter heaven, but as one escaping from a fire.

We most often forget verse 10!

God works are part of our salvation.

Notice that in the EARTHLY time line continuum GRACE and FAITH come first not the good works - the good works come POST salvation to fulfill our predestiny.

Why? Because we are dead and lost and hopeless without the grace of God. Without grace FIRST there can be no good works.

It is God who counts our faith as righteousness. Ask yourself, what if you faith was superficial, like soil #2, or your faith was not only in Christ, but you still treasured worldly things like soil #3, did God credit those "faiths" as righteousness? I do not think so. (Matthew 13:20-22)

Salvation, positional sanctification, results in us being created for good works. It is part of the equation. But "good works" does not sustain our salvation, we still get to heaven even if we push mistaken doctrine, which does not merit eternal rewards. Once saved, always saved!

This is where you and I differ. Unless you are void and destitute you too value things of this world. We all do. The most important thing is to not let the things of this world rule in your life. Not to allow your self to love them more than God. There isn't anything I love more than God. We all sin you do as well. And when you were forgiven of your sin you were forgiven of all the sins in your whole life Past, present, and future.
It is too bad that you feel you have to work to keep your Salvation

Ecc 7:20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

The only man ever to live with out sin Is Jesus Christ.
Paul had his thorn in his side that thorn was a messenger from Satan. It was sin that he could not over come. He asked God to remove it bur God said my grace is sufficient for you, and did not remove it.
We do not have to work for Salvation and we do not have to work to keep it.
How ever if God tells you to do something and then you refuse. God may take you home early.

Yes we differ. God rejects "superficial" faith or or faith that lets worldly concerns choke out our devotion to God. But we do agree, we all sin in our own estimation. Of course, in Christ we are sinless in God's eyes. We agree our sins, past, present and future are forgiven.

Not sure what the purpose of this post is, it reads like you did not understand the opening post.
Good works are the result of salvation, we are created in Christ for good works. It is something we can only do after we are born anew in Christ. Before that, while lost all our works of righteousness are filthy rags.

Next you seem to be pushing all born anew are predestined to produce good works. What about those who enter heaven as one escaping from a fire?

It seems you think I believe superficial faith is sufficient. I never said that it was. Stop assuming I did. What I did say is that your so called Salvation formula couldn't be more wrong when you include works as part of Salvation. That does not add up to superficial, that is simply the truth.

I disagree with quite a few things in this above. Why would I ask my self if my faith is superficial? When I lean on Jesus every day. I believe in the Lord as my provider. I could not answer your question because I can't imagine it.

Actually your opening post is terrible. You should have learned how to make a proper list.It's your opening post that is causing the problems. You wrote it then never looked back. If you can't see anything wrong with it you need to take some English lessons. You have yet to see that the way you wrote it makes it sound as if you are promoting a works for Salvation position. Then you get upset because people can't read your mind and know what you are trying to say.

There is only one thing needful for Salvation FAITH Nothing else on man's part. If you start adding things to that faith you are then mistaken
