"Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear. He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride."
Some people think the leviathan is the behemoth or a dinosaur. The Leviathan is never associated with the Behemoth which is a water OX, probably the largest animal to roam the waters around Israel at that time.
Job 40:15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
Dinosaurs were pre-Adam, this creature "the Leviathan" was "MADE WITH THEE." (Job)
Why would God find it necessary to 'prophesy' an entire chapter about a dinosaur? Some Creation scientist believe Noah put Dino on the Ark. If that were true, Noah would have needed 12-15 arks to accommodate them and their food etc.
If they were around after Adam and Eve and after the flood, you would think that their enormous size and the fear they would have instilled such fear in people as they roamed the earth that it would have been clearly documented in history and the bible itself. Neither the historical or biblical record document any creatures/dinosaurs of such immensity ever roamed the earth while man was upon it.
ISIS/ISIL and possibly all Islamic terror groups are the Leviathan of Isaiah 27, Psalm 74,104 and Job 41. ISIL believes they are "the leviathan that has been awakened?" No big deal right until you read what's said about the Leviathan!
Job 41:33 "Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear."
Interpreters are obsessed with understanding the beasts of Daniel 7 and Revelation 13 and 17, but little is ever said about the Leviathan. Habakkuk, Isaiah 24-27, and Job 41, are completely neglected prophecies.
This creature represents more than one thing. Certain qualities are attributed to it that are evident in ISIL. It's associated with the dragon, the serpent, and Satan. It is some sort of 'end-time entity.’ Maybe the two heads of the Leviathan represent the two major sects of Islam (Sunni/Shia) like the two horned beast does of Revelation 13. Or maybe, "Mecca and Medina!"
Psalm 74:14 Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness. (Desert)
Job 41 begins by implying that man is nearly powerless at taking it out, and that there's little to nothing we can do to deter or stop it, and something that only God will accomplish. Now that ISIS has taken a hit (there are still thousands left) they, like so many other terrorist groups, are specializing as foreign fighters. THEY LIVE AMONG US!
Job 41:25 says about Leviathan... "When he raiseth up himself, the mighty are afraid: by reason of breakings they purify themselves".
The mighty are afraid because jihadist hide among the general population. They aren't coming at you with brigades of people and military equipment. They are spread across the earth and mixed in the general population in nearly every country. Jihadist of all kinds believe it's God's will for them to participate in jihad. Islam teaches that if a man does not participate in jihad, he is liable to lose his reward in paradise and is a hypocrite.
"Jihad is an obligatory duty in Islam on every Muslim, and he who tries to escape from this duty, or does not in his innermost heart wish to fulfill this duty, dies with one of the qualities of a hypocrite."
V. 25b "by reason of breakings they purify themselves."
That perfectly describes a Muslim's 'struggle' in jihad. The word ‘breakings’ no doubt implies terrorism. It means to break and ruin, and comes from a word meaning "to break, wreck, and to rend violence."
"Jihad is the Arabic word for "struggle" or "effort." In the context of the Holy Qur'an, jihad is a struggle or effort to strive "in the path of God" (22:78). Scholar James Turner Johnson says it this way: "the concept of jihad…fundamentally denotes striving or effort expended by the individual Muslim to walk in the path of God" (Johnson 19; Feldman 232-233). Jihad is the effort to purify oneself from within, to purify oneself of selfish appetites--the intention behind the action is important to the action itself. If this is the root meaning of jihad, when and how did it come to mean "holy war" or a "war to kill the infidels"? To answer that, we need to look at jihad in the Qur'an and the term's historical development."
Job 41:26 says ,KJV "The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon."
NAS... "The sword that reaches him cannot avail, Nor the spear, the dart or the javelin."
Job 41:28-29 The arrow cannot make him flee: slingstones are turned with him into stubble. Darts are counted as stubble: he laugheth at the shaking of a spear.
Job is using the only terminology available to him in his day to describe 'airborne' weapons over two thousand years in the future. The U.S. and others have launched rockets, missiles, (spears, darts, and javelins) at ISIL. Some that cost almost 1.5 million dollars each. It has deterred them but they're still hanging on and now specialize in foreign fighters. They are now in our backyard.
Look at what Psalm 104:27 says about ISIS…
"These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season."
Why would ISIS fighters wait upon the Lord??? ISIL fighters believe that the prophetic teachings in the Hadith insist that they continue converting their enemies by the sword until Isa, (Jesus) returns to destroy the Islamic dajjal otherwise known as the Islamic antichrist, after which Islam and its justice prevails upon the ENTIRE earth.
Yes ISIS believes Jesus will return to help them defeat the dajjal!
Isaiah 27:1 "In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea."
(Sea represents nations) Why would the Lord punish a Dinosaur?
There are 'two' leviathans that get punished. We know the serpent is the dragon and his names are Satan and Lucifer. ISIL is the end-time entity prophesied as the Leviathan that the LORD punishes in the end. One is a piercing serpent. (ISIL) The other is a crooked serpent. (Satan the dragon).
Strong’s says the leviathan is, “figuratively, the constellation of the dragon; also as a symbol of Babylon:—leviathan, mourning. Leviathan is larger than normal serpent and attached to Babylon and the symbol of the hostile kingdom of Babylon.” In Psalm 74:14 Leviathan is used to describe a fierce enemy.
What does this creature represent in the end-times? I say it represents Islam and terrorist, the Babylonians/Muslim's of the last days, as well as the dragon, the serpent who is Satan, and some other end-time entity like ISIL.
"Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear. He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride."
Job associates the Leviathan with the serpent/Satan - KING! The children of Pride....ISIS!
