The chow hall where I am at has an omelet station, panini station, and full salad bar.

I didn't know the Military knew how to finish cooking potatoes and eggs until I went to Lackland for MP school. That is when I learned it was just the MC.

    Who said anything about California!

I was only at Camp Pendleton for one week - wasn't worth going to buy a pair

When you have 2 separate chain of commands ( ie admin and mission)
and each commander gives conflicting orders.

Yes, it has happened to me - at least twice

A pet peeve about the military? Oh man, where do I begin? I feel like a mosquito at a nudist beach right now. Anyway, being in the Navy (2007-2016), I would say some of the higher ups thinking they could do or go wherever they wanted. For instance, a LT came to our Radio shop door and wanted to come in to talk to our DIVO about something. I told him that we had classified information out and he didn't have a security clearance, so he wasn't allowed in. He argued with me so I got my LCPO to explain this to him. Light bulb went off in LT's head and he finally understood what I was trying to explain to him the first time. So while I overall enjoyed my military experience, there were moments that were frustrating and annoying for sure.
