WHEN DOES GOD SEND PEOPLE STRONG DELUSIONS TO BELIEVE LIES?

2 THESSALONIANS 2:1-13
[1], Now we beseech you, brothers, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together to him,
[2], That you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
[3], Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
[4], Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

[6], And now you know what withholds that he might be revealed in his time.
[7], For the mystery of iniquity does already work: only he who now lets will let, until he be taken out of the way.

WHEN DOES GOD SEND PEOPLE STRONG DELUSIONS TO BELIEVE LIES (v11)?

We are warned in 2 THESSALONIANS 2:2 not to be "SHAKEN IN MIND". The be "SHAKEN IN MIND" is in reference to 2 THESSALONIANS 2:3 by letting people "DECEIVE YOU" so that you "FALL AWAY" from the word of truth in which we are "SANCTIFIED" *2 THESSALONIANS 2:13.

JESUS WARNS his disciples in MATTHEW 24:24 and his Word there will be many false prophets (messengers) and false CHRISTS (Churches) showing "GREAT SIGNS" so that if it were possible they shouls "DECEIVE GOD'S VERY ELECT"

PAUL says even of your own selves shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them ACTS 20:29-30. This is also foretold by JESUS who states that these people will appear as Christians but are not *MATTHEW 7:15; MATTHEW 10:16.

How does the above "WARNINGS" relate to the question being posed here and the scriptures that say...

ACTS 17:30 "IN TIMES OF IGNORANCE GOD WINKS AT BUT NOW CALLS ALL MEN EVERYWHERE TO REPENT. and

HEBREWS 10:26 "FOR IF WE SIN AFTER THAT WAS RECEIVE A KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH THEIR REMAINS NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR SIN BUT A FEARFUL LOOKING FORWARD TO THE JUDGMENT TO COME.

It is very clear that GOD will send us strond delustions to believe LIES if we reject his WORD and continue in sin when we have been given a "KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH" and reject Gods' WORD in order to "CONTINUE IN SIN".

2 THESSALONIANS 2:10-13
[10], And with all delusion of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. [11], And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: [12], That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. [13], But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brothers beloved of the Lord, because God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth

HOW CAN WE KNOW GOD'S TRUTH?

JOHN 17:17 [17], Sanctify them through your truth: your word is truth.

JOHN 7:17 [17], If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

JOHN 14:26 [26] But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.

JOHN 16:13 [13], However, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.

JOHN 8:31-32 [31], Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed; [32], And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

We do not have to be deceived but all of God's promises above are conditional on BELIEVE and FOLLOWING God's WORD

 

If we SIN (breaking any one of God's 10 Commandments) when JESUS brings us a "KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH" through his WORD (JOHN 17:17) there remains no more sacrifice for sin (breaking God's Commandments; 1 JOHN 3:4) but a fearful looking forward to the judgment to come *HEBREWS 10:26-39.

 

SANTIFICATION is through receiving a LOVE OF THE TRUTH through the SPIRIT of the WORD of GOD *JOHN 6:63; JOHN 17:17 that we should not believe lies *2 THESSALONIANS 2:10. According to God's WORD thos who teach we can sin (break any one of God's 10 commandments) and still go to HEAVEN are teaching you lies.

1 JOHN 2:3-4 [3], And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.[4], He that said, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

 

The religious teachers in the days of Jesus said that he had a devil and his followers were a cult this was independently verified in the days of Jesus and the Apostles. Just ask the Jews who hung Jesus on the cross (John 7:20; John 8:48; 52; Matt 10:25 12:24; Acts 28:22).

This could be said of all those who followed Jesus throughout time even before Jesus the religious teachers of the day killed the prophets sent to them by God to share God's WORD (Luke 11:47; Matt 23:31)

Stephen was stoned to death it was independently verified that he was blaspheming because no one could argue with the scriptures that he was presenting (Acts 6:8-15).

Paul, Peter and most of the Apostles were also executed because it was independently verified by the religious teachers of the day that they could not respond to God's WORD they were sharing with them.

Not to mention all those of the reformation and the birth of Protestantism and the inquisition of the Roman Catholic Church which executed millions of God's people because it was independently verified by the Roman Catholic Church that they were all heretics and should be burned at the stake.

Now today you call heretic or cult because it is independently verified because you cannot respond to the scriptures that disagree with your Catholic traditions which has led many to break God's Commandments?

ONLY God's WORD is true and you do not have it to support your tradition that breaks the commandments of God. The WORD of God is sent to help you have a closer walk with God but you reject God's WORD in order to follow the traditions of the fathers.

Jesus and Paul spoke correctly quoting Isaiah;

Well spoke the Holy Spirit by Isaiah the prophet unto our fathers, Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing you shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing you shall see, and not perceive: For the heart of this people is stubborn, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Something to think about who do we BELIEVE and FOLLOW? The teachings and traditions of men that break the Commandments of God or the WORD of GOD. Jesus says those who follow man made traditions that break God's Commandments are not following him...

MATTHEW 15:2-9 [2], Why do your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. [3], But he answered and said to them, Why do you also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? [4], For God commanded, saying, Honor your father and mother: and, He that curses father or mother, let him die the death. [5], But you say, Whoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatever you might be profited by me; [6], And honor not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have you made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. [7], You hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, [8], This people draws near to me with their mouth, and honors me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. [9], But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

It is very clear according to Jesus if we follow the teachings and traditions of men that break the Commandments of GOD we are not following God.

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

 

No it is my denial of the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God which is why I share God's WORD with you. There is not one scripture in all of God's WORD that says Gods 4th commandment has been abolished and we are commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day. The same as there is no scripture that says "SUNDAY" of the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK is "THE LORDS DAY".

In response you make false accusations and claims you cannot prove with scripture. If you cannot provie your claims and accusations, why are you denying God's WORD?

You have only been provided God's WORD. In response you provide your own words and accusations which are not God's Word but yours. So your argument is with God not me.

God says "REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY TO KEEP IT HOLY" *EXODUS 20:8.

You say NO! I will follow my own man made teachings and traditions that break the commandments of God.

JESUS says those who follow the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God are not following God *MATTHEW 15:3-9.

These are Gods Word not mine that you deny with your words that are not God's. I know who I believe and follow and it is not you. Only God's WORD is true and we should believe and follow it and you have provided none *ROMANS 3:4.

God's Sheep hear His Voice (the Word of God) and follow him. Those who are not God's sheep do not hear and do not follow *JOHN 10:1-10; JOHN 10:26-27.

According to God's WORD, those who receive strong delusions receive them because they did not receive the love of the truth that they might be saved but had pleasure in sin *2 THESSALONIANS 2:10-11; 1 JOHN 3:4. Sin is the breaking of anyone of God's 10 Commandments. I am sure you know the point

God sends us strong delusions to believe lies when he gives us a knowledge of the truth of his Word and we reject it. This is a result of not having a LOVE of the truth and loving darkness rather than light because of evil deeds.
