I was taught by the Catholic Church the doctrines of the Trinity, and its true. I was taught by the Catholic Church that Mary is the Mother of God, and she is. I was taught by the Catholic Church the Apostles Creed, and I confessed it.
I was told by many non-Catholic faiths that Bible Alone was in the bible, but it's not.

Are you saying the belief that the Scripture alone is the final authority and source for all doctrine and practice of the Christian faith is not actually found in the Scripture???

These things are not taught in the bible that are taught be many Churches...
1. Sunday or the "FIRST DAY" of the week is "THE LORDS DAY"
2. Sunday or the "FIRST DAY" replaces God's 4th commandment SABBATH which is one of the 10 commandments.
3. Infant baptism and baptism by sprinkling of water instead of immersion.
4. Praying to the dead (saints) which is an abomination to God.

you didn't I - maybe I confused myself) I intended on saying that it was told to me by non-Catholic faiths that Scripture Alone is the final authority. But Scripture Alone doesn't say that. Scripture Alone says the Church is the authority.JoeT

Wouldn't that be self-refuting?

Then I guess one should define sola Scripture as follows:

If someone in the Bible meant Saturday instead of Sunday, they'd say Sabbath, not The Lord's Day.
Some doctrinal disputes have seemingly valid verse proofs on both sides.
Bringing up doctrines in this thread is hitting at the low hanging fruit. Yeah, every doctrine we disagree with isn't taught in the Bible. But, some doctrines really aren't taught and have nothing that looks like a proof verse, like the pretrib rapture and many typical elements of Dispensationalism.
I think the OP was thinking of things like angels have wings and halos, assumptions rather than controversial doctrines. Maybe Three Wise Men seeing baby Jesus. We're not told three. Or, that there were a certain number of angels at the empty tomb. We're told no total number.

Not really brother. Your making an assumption here. That is because the scripture alone (not me) defines "THE LORD's DAY" as "THE SABBATH DAY" in *MATTHEW 12:8.
The Apostle JOHN knew that JESUS was God and the creator of heaven and earth as shown in MATTHEW 12:8 as well as MARK 2:27-28 as witnessed by MOSES in GENESIS chapters 1 and 2.
JESUS says that he is the LORD (CREATOR) even of the SABBATH DAY *MATTHEW 12:8. It is the LORDS DAY because JESUS says so and on the SABBATH DAY JESUS; Set the SEVENTH DAY of the week apart for mankind as a HOLY DAY. On the SEVENTH DAY of CREATION GOD (JESUS) BLESSED the SEVENTH DAY, and SET IT APART as a HOLY DAY for mankind (BEFORE THE FALL) to REST with GOD. *GENESIS 2:1-3.
What these scriptures prove is that the SEVENTH DAY SABBATH is the LORDS DAY that he set apart for mankind and show he is the creator of HEAVEN and EARTH.
The "LORD'S DAY" in the GREEK is κυριακός ἡμέρα meaning "THE DAY BELONGING TO THE LORD"
"THE LORDS DAY" is referenced through both the OLD and NEW TESTAMENT scripture as the "SABBATH DAY" which is THE DAY BELONGING TO THE LORD.
ISAIAH 58:13 If you turn away your foot from the sabbath, from doing your pleasure on MY HOLY DAY (the day belonging to the Lord) and call the SABBATH a delight, the holy of the LORD, honorable; and shall honor him, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words:
Now JOHN in REVELATION 1:10 knew that JESUS is the creator GOD and he refers to the SABBATH DAY as the LORD'S DAY *MATTHEW 12:8.
There is no scripture that says SUNDAY is "THE LORDS DAY" but JESUS says he is the LORD (CREATOR) even of the SABBATH DAY *MATTHEW 12:8. JOHN in REVELATION 1:10 is referring to JESUS as the creator of heaven and earth.

God does not need our help in defining the scriptures and ignoring God's Word does not make it dissappear.
Not really brother. The OP title is asking for things being taught in the Church that are not biblical. I have only posted the truth stating the there is no scriptgure that says "SUNDAY or the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK is "THE LORDS DAY". Just ther same as there is no scripture that say God's 4th commandment has been done away in favour of Sunday worship with some other things. If you disagree please show me the scripture that says "SUNDAY" (or the first day of the week) is "THE LORDS DAY" You cannot can you. Yet it is God's Word alone that says the SABBATH DAY is "THE LORDS DAY".
If God's 4th commandment is one the 10 commandments that give us a knowledge of what sin is when broken and no one enters into the kingdom of Heaven who knowingly practices unrepentant sin. It sure is something to pray about and consider, don't you think?
