Some folks here teach that only God can correct a person and give them proper understanding of scriptures and Christianity.

I don't see how anyone can be sniveling and whining about being confronted the whole time and then take it out on a person who God has not assisted or always hated.

Its like they don't believe what they claim to believe at all.

utilyan, when a person pushes against the call to reconciliation with Christ Jesus, I don't push further. Rebels toward God will be rebels. I'm not going to change them. Only God can change them.
Where I push back is when false teachers present salvation by works or human merit.
    Peter agrees with me.

2 Peter 2:1-22 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep. For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment; if he did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness, with seven others, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly; if by turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes he condemned them to extinction, making them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; and if he rescued righteous Lot, greatly distressed by the sensual conduct of the wicked (for as that righteous man lived among them day after day, he was tormenting his righteous soul over their lawless deeds that he saw and heard); then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment, and especially those who indulge in the lust of defiling passion and despise authority. Bold and willful, they do not tremble as they blaspheme the glorious ones, whereas angels, though greater in might and power, do not pronounce a blasphemous judgment against them before the Lord. But these, like irrational animals, creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed, blaspheming about matters of which they are ignorant, will also be destroyed in their destruction, suffering wrong as the wage for their wrongdoing. They count it pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, while they feast with you. They have eyes full of adultery, insatiable for sin. They entice unsteady souls. They have hearts trained in greed. Accursed children! Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray. They have followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved gain from wrongdoing, but was rebuked for his own transgression; a speechless donkey spoke with human voice and restrained the prophet’s madness. These are waterless springs and mists driven by a storm. For them the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved. For, speaking loud boasts of folly, they entice by sensual passions of the flesh those who are barely escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved. For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire.”

" denying the Master who bought them"

Says Jesus died for those reprobates.

Sounds like Peter is giving a warning.

Any-kind of warning is absolutely stupid under your theology since its all God picked out since the foundation.

According to your GNOSTICISM there is nothing on your part.

I can teach your faith in one line.

Jesus Christ doesn't save, being chosen by God in the cosmic lottery saves.

You could say all that (and now you have) and you would be dead wrong (and now you are).
You have created a philosophy to live by, utilyan, and a crutch for rejecting scripture that shares the Supremacy of God.

Take the Romans 2 passage when it says God is not a respector of persons. When you read IN CONTEXT it is easy to determine the meaning is he does not distinguish, for salvation, the race of a person Jew or Gentile. It does not say he treats every individual equally. We know from Scripture (Jacob I loved, Esau I hated) that he does not treat every individual the same.

show the favoritism in regard to salvation. You need to read the scripture better. We make choices that God disapproves, He loves us but not our actions. That is the reason we are here. If one believes in no freedom of choice, they are blaming God for our sin. A deception of the Devil.

Again, Calvinists do not deny freedom of choice. Why do you keep trying to say we do?

I'm not getting into the nonsense that's erupted on this thread.

I was taught, in a SBC I useta attend, that Satan was red, had horns & an evil grin, carried a pitchfork, & had a tail with a barb on its end. (In Sunday school)

Now, would anyone wanna obey such a critter?

Now, I believe, if we were to see him, he'd be unbelievably handsome, smooth-talking & mild-mannered. Remember, he can make himself look like an angel of light.

Election. is no choice. It is one of TULIP.

You do not know the significance of your beliefs and you claim to be in Calvinism but are not the same.
You do not know the label for what you post nor the beliefs of Calvinism you push

Actually, I'm starting to think you don't know what Calvinism actually teaches and you just fight against what you think it teaches.

David? We have shown you on other threads that you do not repeat Calvinism as others, including Calvin present.
It is funny, you deny Calvinism while you think you promote it.

I guess you are Calvinism lite.

Election is wrong , to be specific election to salvation is wrong A lie of the Devil meant to blame God to unjustly send one to Hell as if to say , It is not my fault, but God's
