This is sickening. Hard to believe that any Christian would vote for this in 2020.

    It was terrible, I agree.

The man does not act presidential. It bothers me.

Again, you are not voting for a pastor or church leader.....

Are you saying that a Christian can cast his Christianity aside once he enters the voting booth?

How do you get that from what I said? I think it is ridiculous that you think a vote for Trump means you have to cast your Christianity aside.

Then why would it matter about voting for a pastor or church leader? Voting for a person is voting for a person, regardless of what the position is. Don't you think character should matter in voting for a public official?

No, not all positions are equal. And did I say character shouldn't matter? No, you keep putting words in my mouth. But look at the alternatives. I'm saying you are trying to hold a president to the standards of a pastor and they are not even close to the same thing.

Asking you a question is not putting words in your mouth.

Then again, as I already said, you are not voting for a pastor or church leader. It is a state leader. Does character matter? Yes, but look at the available candidates. Who is better than Trump on the ballot? Hmm?

The general election ballot is not set, and won't be for a long time. 13 months is like an eternity in politics. The Democratic, Libertarian, Constitution, and Green parties, for instance, have not nominated their presidential candidates yet.

The fact that you would even entertain a Democratic candidate or a Green party candidate says all I need to know. You are just a never Trumper. I get it, but don't try to play holier than thou about it.

Why vote for a Libertarian? None of them have been plaster saints and they have no chance of winning. Should one just throw one's vote away? Trump has clay feet but he is not a thief like Biden or a commie like Sanders or an habitual liar like Warren or a crook like Hillary.

In the Bible, Daniel and Nebuchadnezzar were amicable toward each other. Trump's undesireable attributes are small potatoes compared to a pagan ruler's wickedness.
I have heard little ditties which remind me of Christians who would oppose a candidate like Mr. Trump at the risk of endangering the nation's security and well-being.
One such is "picking the fly droppings out of the pepper." Our lord had the best one, though, "strain at a gnat but swallow a camel."

No body in the crowd seemed offended.

I don’t watch popular TV we cut cable some years ago.

What a sick, vulgar mind one must have to interpret that as Yashar Ali did, or to believe his interpretation. I listened to this part of the speech before seeing this and the thought never crossed mine. In Gone with the Wind, Vivien Leigh gives a much more impassioned performance that had nothing to do with sex.

So who's your choice, the old Soviet apparatchik Bernie Sanders? The fake and equally communist leaning Lizzie Warren? The corrupt Joe Biden perhaps? How about the "man's man" Mr. Pete Buttegeig? Or the queen himself, Corey Booker? Amy who? The quickly fading Kamal Harris? Oh boy, what a lineup for the Dems! Or perhaps you are itching to pull the lever for the sore loser Hillary Clinton?

I'll take President Trump over all those lightweights, thank you very much.

The Libertarians don't have any candidates either. I don't know why they bother.
