Better still. Jesus Himself ONLY quoted from inspired scriptures, and he told us the Apostles were inspired same as OT was, and that we rely upon scriptures only! Jesus stated that traditions not from scriptures were merely ones of men!

I'm sure there have been plenty of people who have debated this issue.
How does that make it "not" true??

There have been millions of people who have debated the existence of Christ.
    Doe this validate their position??

Where did Jesus ever promise inspired truth to any but his Apostles?

    Wanna bet??

    Matt 23:2 -
Jesus relied on the ORAL TRADITION of acknowledging Moses' seat of authority (which passed from Moses to Joshua to the Sanhedrin).
This is not recorded in the Old Testament.

    1 Cor. 10:4 -
Paul relies on the ORAL TRADITION of the rock following Moses.
It is not recorded in the Old Testament. See Exodus 17:1-16 and Num. 20:2-13.

2 Timothy 3:8 - Paul relies on the ORAL TRADITION when speaking of Pharoah’s magicians, Jannes and Jambres.
Their names are not recorded in the Old Testament.

Heb. 11:37 - the author of Hebrews relies on the ORAL TRADITION of the martyrs being sawed in two.
This is not recorded in the Old Testament.

Jude 9 - Jude relies on the ORAL TRADITION of the Archangel Michael's dispute with satan over Moses' body.
This is not found in the Old Testament.

Jesus told the leaders of His Church that WHATEVER they loosed or held bound on earth would be loosed or held bound in Heaven (Matt. 16:19, Matt. 18:15-18, John 20:21-23).

They passed that mantle of Authority down to other Bishops in an UNBROKEN line of succession.

I have "NO" support for the fact that there are an astronomical numbers of Protestant denominations and Lone Ranger sects??
Look in the phone book if you need evidence.

As for "doctrinal" differences - giving communion is a matter of DISCIPLINE - not doctrine.

Finally - as for the "tens of Thousands" - that is from a PROTESTANT source (World Christian Encyclopedia by Barrett, Kurian, Johnson (Oxford Univ Press, 2nd edition, 2001).

As I said already you have no support that sola scriptura is the cause for different denoms. I see you are avoiding that.

Its doctrine. But even still you avoided the point again.

    I doubt it

Sorry, I didn't "see" this thread until now. But Baptist Board is not the place to attack Sola Scriptura. So, this thread is closed.
