    SDA: Cult of Fear-Mongers

Invariably, no matter what the biblical topic, the SDA cult always brings the conversation back to Jewish 7th-day Sabbath-keeping. In case you didn’t know it, they and they alone keep the commandments of God. Though they do not publicize on their official website the damnation of those umpteen millions of Christians who have always worshipped the Lord on the first day of the week, it is common knowledge by those who are familiar with their beliefs and writings that, in their jaded view, America is the Beast from the earth, the mark of the Beast Sunday worship.

One can understand the immense fear the cult member experiences once this fable is ingrained in his or her heart, mind, body and soul. In addition to the New Testament allegedly giving dire warning of breaking the Jewish Sabbath, the SDA cult has the reminder of the Old Testament warning given in Numbers 15:32-36:

And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.

33 And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.

34 And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.

35 And the Lord said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.

36 And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the Lord commanded Moses.

Certainly, anyone attempting to keep the 7th-day Jewish Sabbath must reflect on that one episode as a stark example of the severity of God’s judgment upon those who dare do that which is displeasing to Him on that holy day.

Thus, they must tremble each Sabbath-day hoping against hope they do not step outside the holy boundaries enacted by their cult. I dare say picking up firewood is a definite no-no.

Our SDA friend, Hobie, states, “As the scripture clearly shows that the seventh day is the Sabbath, the question them [sic] becomes, must Christians keep the Sabbath day that God gave at Creation for all mankind? Must Christians keep any of the Commandments, if so then the Sabbath Commandment still applies.”

This argument is what is known as ‘begging the question.’ Hobie is assuming as true that which has yet been proved.

Although the official SDA website incorrectly references the Scripture in which God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made, as Genesis 1:3, the website and Hobie are both in sync as to the implication: By this we are to understand a commandment which requires all mankind to set aside the 7th-day as a holy day dedicated to the worship of the one true God.

No Such Commandment is Given in Genesis 2:3

If, as SDA theology would have us believe, the 7th-day Sabbath worship was crucial – a matter of life and death, as exemplified in Number 15 – why then was that commandment not clearly and forcefully given Adam? The Lord had no problem enunciating the commandment to not eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, the breaking of which resulted in Adam’s spiritual and physical death, as well as the death of all his progeny. Had Adam and Eve committed their sin on the Sabbath, that certainly would have been an excellent time to declare how they broke not just one, but two commandments: eating from the tree while breaking the Sabbath. But that was not the case. The time of the offense was not the issue. The act of disobedience was. Yet the SDA would have us believe Adam and all mankind after him had a clear 7th-day commandment which all knew and understood.

Did Cain and Abel Have Such a Commandment?

In Genesis 4 we are told And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.

4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

Notice the Scripture did not say, On the Sabbath it came to pass, etc. In other words, the time of the offering was not the issue. The sacrificial offering itself was. Cain’s offering was of the earth, carnal and unbloody, while Abel’s was a slain lamb, a type of the Messiah to come. Abel’s offering displayed faith in the promise of God, whose Messiah was to be a type of sacrificial lamb, while Cain’s represented the worthless offerings of works by carnal unbelievers. Offering bread to God would be another such contemptible offering.

Like Cain, the SDAs offer the Lord their good works, 7th-day Sabbath-keeping, according to their own particular rules and regulations. SDAs worship a day, while we Christians worship the Lord of the Sabbath.

    No 7th-day Sabbath-Keeping Law until Moses - Part 2

In Genesis 4, we follow the history of Cain’s descendants. Not one word is spoken of their obedience or disobedience in regard to Sabbath-keeping. Instead, we have a discourse detailing specific names of sons, certain wives, several occupations, as well as Lamech’s murders and boastful threats.

Next, we trace the lineage of Adam through Seth and his son, Enos. It was then, we are told, men began to call upon the name of the Lord. However, no time frame is indicated. Had they called upon the name of the Lord on the 7th-day Sabbath? Or had they called upon His name on any of the other 6 days of the week? Or perhaps they called upon His name every day, or every other day, of the week. Scripture remains suspiciously silent on what the SDA considers a crucial point determining eternal life or death.

Genesis 5 introduces us to several more of Adam’s progeny, including Enoch, who walked with God. Again, no time frame is indicated as to when, exactly, this walk began, other than it was 300 years after the birth of Methuselah. Did they walk together only on the 7th-day Sabbath? Or was it possible they walked together daily, as we Christians do today?

Certainly, by the time Noah comes on the scene we should have a vivid description of his 7th-day Sabbath-keeping. Curiously, Lamech named him ‘Noah,’ which translated means ‘comfort,’ ‘repose,’ or ‘rest’…….. This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed. Can the reader identify another biblical figure who promised to give us ‘rest’?

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

And is the rest promised by Christ the same 7th-day Sabbath rest required of the Jews?

Or is the promised rest the rest which we Christians experience daily in our lives….. rest which only comes from the grace of God alone by which we have peace with God through faith alone in the finished work of Christ alone?

    No 7th-day Sabbath-Keeping Commandment Before Moses – Part 3

And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

Did Noah deserve the Lord’s grace/favor? If so, then it would behoove all mankind who read this Scripture to follow the example of Noah.

For instance, it would have been quite valuable to know Noah obeyed the commandment to keep the 7th-day Sabbath holy.

Or it would have been helpful to know Noah was a kind neighbor, or a responsible citizen or even a loving father.

But, alas, no such information is forthcoming.

We do, however, find several commandments given Noah which he faithfully carried out in perfect obedience (Gen. 6:14-22).

But, alas, not one commandment concerns keeping the 7th-day holy unto the Lord.

We are told in Genesis 7:5, And Noah did according unto all that the Lord commanded him.

But, again, no mention of Sabbath-keeping.

It would have been extremely beneficial for us to have known that Noah was declared ‘righteous’ due to his obedience to a certain ordinance or law, such as Sabbath-keeping (7:1).

The number 7 is mentioned several times in chapter 7, yet not once does it refer to a specific 7th-day which is to be set apart to God’s service.

Moreover, considering it took Noah several decades to build the ark, one would expect there to be mention of Noah resting from his labor every Sabbath, proving his love of God and utmost respect for His commandments.

    Yet Scripture is silent.

In chapter 8 we find, And Noah builded an altar unto the Lord; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

    21 And the Lord smelled a sweet savour;

If only Scripture had made a point of proclaiming Noah offered sacrifice to the Lord on the Sabbath!

But once more, we are disappointed.

The sweet savour the Lord smelled was not the day of the week, but the offering itself.

Conclusion: Christ is the perfect sacrificial offering in whom we biblical Christians place our faith, trusting Him with our eternal souls. We do not place our faith in a day of the week, nor our imperfect works, nor our church attendance, nor our self-sacrifices, or bread sacrifices, nor our alleged ‘perfect’ obedience to His commandments. We biblical Christians, like Noah, are saved by grace, for we did nothing to merit such favor. The ark which saved Noah was a type of Christ, who keeps us safe, no matter how high or how rough the turbulent seas of life. Like Noah, we are justified without Sabbath-keeping.

P.S. Nowhere in the Noahic covenant (Genesis 9) was there a Sabbath-keeping commandment.

No Sabbath Commandment Given Abraham – Part 4

The Lord effectually called Abram when he was a steadfast practicing idolater who hated the true God. Is not this the model given of Paul’s calling? And is not this the model of the Ephesians’ calling? And was this not the model of our very own calling?

While we were dead in trespasses and sins the Lord graciously, out of His great love for us, quickened us together with Christ, delivering us from the power of darkness, translating us into the Kingdom of His beloved Son.

In Genesis 12:8 we are informed Abram built an altar, calling upon the name of the Lord.

However, we are not informed as to what day this occurred. Why not? According to SDA law, this should be critical information. Holy service to God must be performed on the 7th-day, they insist.

Once more, in Genesis 13:4, Abram called upon the name of the Lord, without any indication of the day of the week. Similarly, Scripture is silent when he built another altar in the plain of Mamre (v. 18).

Abram Declared Righteous By Faith Alone, Without Circumcision or Sabbath-Keeping

And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

6 And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness (Genesis 15:5-6).

Herein lies a great irony. The Jews take great pride in the fact they are descendants of Abraham. They also take great pride in the fact they are circumcised Sabbath-keepers. SDAs also take great pride in their alleged obedience to the letter of the Sabbath law. Yet Abraham was justified in the eyes of the Lord prior to the giving of these commandments.

How is this possible? Paul, once a rigid law-keeping Pharisee, explains: For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin (Romans 3:20).

Paul reiterates this truth to the Galatians: yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified (2:16).

    The Law Reveals Our Sin

Why, then, was the law given at all? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come (Galatians 3:19; cf. Romans 7:7).

Paul understood the true purpose of the Law…..to lead us away from trusting in our own alleged righteousness, to trusting in the Lord our righteousness:

Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith (Galatians 3:24; cf. Jeremiah 23;6).

7th-day Sabbath-Keeping a Superstitious Idol as Taught By SDA

Jesus was quite clear when stating, God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth (John 4:24).

Nowhere in this statement is worship of God exalted on day 7. Nor is any other day exalted. Instead, we are commanded to worship Him spiritually, not carnally; truthfully, not speciously. Jesus did not limit spirit and truth to any particular day. Nor did Jesus limit spirit and truth to any particular place.

Ex-French priest and martyr, Peter de Bruis (d. 1131), was killed by an incensed religious Roman Catholic mob for preaching, among other things, it is not necessary to pray in so-called ‘holy places,’ such as the ostentatious Catholic churches prevalent in his day, because God hears the prayers of His people no matter where – even in taverns, marketplaces and stables.

Col. 2:16, which Paul wrote upon direce communication from Jesus, ends the notion of REQUIRED sabbath-keeping by gentiles. Paul didn't write that verse on his own idea. Seven-Day-Adlibbers say, "Well, Paul himself kept it as Scripture indicates." Simple reason for that - PAUL WAS A JEW, & God gave Israel the sabbath command to be observed FOR EVER.

But I shall keep repeating the following long as these Ellen G, White devotees keep hawking their silly notion - NOWHERE IN SCRIPTURE IS ANY GENTILE OR GENTILES COMMANDED TO KEEP THE SABBATH !

Part 5: 7th-day Sabbath-Keeping commanded of Jews in the Wilderness

[Moses] said to them, “This is what the LORD has commanded: ‘Tomorrow is a day of solemn rest, a holy Sabbath to the LORD; bake what you will bake and boil what you will boil, and all that is left over lay aside to be kept till the morning’” (Exodus 16:23).

We now have a definitive command – not to all mankind, but to the Jews only – to set aside the 7th-day as a holy day of solemn rest unto the Lord.

It should be noted the miracle of heavenly manna was a result of the contemptuous murmurings of the Jews against the Lord (vs. 3-4). The rate of daily gathering, as well as the forbidding of gathering manna on the Sabbath was to be a test of obedience to God (v. 4). Nevertheless, many disobeyed. Many never entered the Promised Land (Deut. 1:35).

Manna a type of Christ, the Living Bread, Killed by the Sabbath-Keeping Unbelieving Jews

In the fulness of time, Jesus was sent to a proud, rebellious people. He was the prophetic living fulfillment of heavenly manna (John 6:32-35). But rather than devour His heavenly doctrine as the words of eternal life, the Jews dismissed His teachings as ‘offensive.’ So offensive that Christ’s death was the only remedy.

The Jews Careful to Keep the Passover Yet Able to Murder Innocent Christ

This was no easy feat. It took careful planning, extreme cunning and serious strategizing. The Romans had to agree to the crucifixion of Jesus, the crucifixion completed, His body placed in a tomb, and all this before the start of the Sabbath, in which no work is allowed…..not even murder.

God Rested From His Work After Creation, Yet is Still Working

Jesus encouraged the Jews to expend their energy toward gaining that which is eternal, which Christ shall give. They responded by asking, what work of God must they do?

Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent (John 6:29).

Simply put, faith is the work of God. This new creation of God is far greater than the 6-day creation of the world and its creatures. For the creation of faith requires the creation of a new heart (Psalm 51:10; Ezekiel 36:26). With the new heart comes a new creation: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come (2 Cor. 5:17).

This New Creation Required the Cross Work of Christ

Although the Son of God, the Word, was an integral part of the original creation (John 1:3; Col. 1:16), it did not compare to His role in the work of the new creation.

But Jesus answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I am working” (John 5:17).

And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross (Phil. 2:8).

In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him (1 John 4:9).

Conclusion: All men are to recognize and believe the visible creation is the work of Jehovah God. Likewise, all men are to recognize their sinful condition, repent and believe the Gospel of His Son, Jesus Christ.

Next: More SDA lies concerning Sabbath-keeping.

    SDA Lies Concerning Sabbath-Keeping – Part 6

Hobie: “Hence the conclusion is inevitable; viz., that of those who follow the Bible as their guide, the Israelites and Seventh-day Adventists have exclusive weight of evidence on their side, whilst the Biblical Protestant has not a word in self-defense for his substitution of Sunday for Saturday."

The website quoted is that of anti-Trinitarian Church of the Great God. This was the best ‘unbiased’ source he could find.

The SDA website, Amazing Discoveries, decrees: “The Bible gives no indication that the Sabbath should be changed from Saturday to Sunday. The Roman Catholic Church claims responsibility for the change.”

Truth be told, the Roman Catholic Church makes innumerable claims which are unfounded, unbiblical and anti-Christian. This is but one of them. Claiming something to be so doesn’t make it so. Just as the absurd SDA claim of an Investigative Judgment doesn’t make it so. Or the claim Ellen White is a prophetess of God.

The SDA church would have all its adherents, including those outside its fellowship, to blindly take their word as divine truth.

So let’s do our homework and ‘discover’ for ourselves how ‘amazing’ the truth actually is!

Ancient ‘Heretics’ Condemned by the Roman Catholic Church Worshipped on Sunday, Not Saturday

I have in my library a 1998 reprint of the alleged 1884 edition of ‘that remarkable classic’ The Great Controversy, allegedly written by a minimally educated E.G. White. In it are contained numerous unsubstantiated claims of 7th-day Sabbath-keeping by the Waldensians.

“In lands beyond the jurisdiction of Rome, there existed for many centuries bodies of Christians who remained almost wholly free from papal corruption…..These Christians believed in the perpetuity of the law of God, and observed the Sabbath of the fourth commandment…..But of those who resisted the encroachments of the papal power, the Waldenses stood foremost. For centuries the churches of Piedmont maintained their independence; but the time came at last when Rome demanded their submission…..The religious beliefs of the Waldenses was founded upon the written word of God, the true system of Christianity……Among the leading causes that had led to the separation of the true church from Rome, was the inveterate hatred of the latter toward the Bible Sabbath…..Through the ages of darkness and apostasy, there were Waldenses who denied the supremacy of Rome, who rejected image worship as idolatry, and who kept the true Sabbath.” (pp. 56-8).

We know these statements to be bold-faced lies because we have numerous unbiased translations of centuries worth of Inquisition records. These records detail the heresies of the various sects who denounced the Roman Catholic Church. They also recorded the accusations against the Catholic Church which provoked the ‘heretics’ to separate from them.

Despite the wealth of material available on these subjects, the Albigenses and Waldenses never accused the Roman Church of breaking the 7th-day Sabbath. Nor were they accused of being Saturday Sabbath-keepers.

I now quote two examples from original 17th-century published sources which cite centuries old manuscripts which date back to the 12th century. These prove Sunday worship.

The first example comes from The History of the Evangelical Church of the Valleys of Piedmont by Samuel Morland, London, 1658, p.40. The quote is from A Brief Confession of Faith, 1532, written by a general counsel of the Churches of the Valleys of Piedmont.

“Item #8. We ought to cease on the Lord’s Day from our Works, as men zealous of the honor and glory of God, also out of Charity towards our Servants, and to apply ourselves to the hearing of the Word of God.”

The reader should recognize the term, ‘Lord’s Day,’ from Revelation 1:10. This is the common term used to signify the first day of the week when Christians assemble in worship of the Lord Jesus Christ. Similarly, we use the term, ‘Lord’s Supper,’ to signify remembering the Lord’s sacrificial death on our behalf. We are commanded to so until His return. This commemoration takes place on the Lord’s Day.

The second example is taken from History of the Ancient Christians by Jean Paul Perrin, Dauphine, 1618, p. 222. He cites a brief exposition of the Ten Commandments by the Waldenses and Albigenses [who differed only as to geography].

“IV. Remember to keep holy the Sabbath Day. They that will keep and observe the Sabbath of Christians, that is to say, sanctify the day of the Lord, must be careful in four things: the first is to cease from all earthly and worldly labors; the second, not to sin; the third, not to be idle in regard of good works; the fourth, to do those things that are for the good and benefit of the soul.”

The reader need understand the Roman Catholic Church hated the Albigenses to the point of massacring them in 1209. Yet not a word these heretics were 7th-day Sabbath-keepers, who rebuked the Catholics for breaking the 7th-day Sabbath.

The Protestant Reformers All Agreed as to Why the Change from Day 7 to Day 1

The SDA church would have us believe the change was due to Roman Catholic mandate. There is not one scintilla of truth to this lie.

The Reformers understood it was the Apostles who signaled the change, according to 1 Cor. 16:2; Acts 20:7 and Rev. 1:10.

Heinrich Bullinger, Swiss Reformer (d. 1575)

[Commenting on Revelation 1:10] “Moreover [John] noteth the time also, in which these mysteries began to be revealed to him, in the solemn day of the Lord, namely Sunday. For so have the ancient fathers called one of the Sabbaths, that is to say, the first day of the week, wherein Christ rose again from the dead, Matt. 28 & Mark 16. And this day have the churches chosen to themselves, instead of the [Jewish] Sabbath day, as holy in remembrance of the Lord’ resurrection, wherein they might keep their sacred and solemn assemblies.

“For that this day was solemnized and consecrated for assemblies in the congregation of Corinth appeareth manifestly in the 16th chapter of the first epistle to the Corinthians, where the Apostle commandeth to lay apart their collections in one of their Sabbaths. The same day also the faithful did celebrate their service with St. Paul in the 20th chapter of the Acts.” [Bullinger then relates how Constantine did not enact a new law concerning Sunday worship. Rather he renewed what the Apostles had instituted.] “And freely of their own accord have the churches received that day; for we read not that it was anywhere commanded. And the congregations saw how it was altogether necessary that there should be a certain time in which the saints should meet and come together. They chose, therefore, the day of the resurrection…….

“But where this Apostle knew that the faithful on Sunday served God in all assemblies, though he could not be present with them bodily, he was with them in spirit and contemplation. And as he was thus in the spirit and contemplation of matters divine, and in holy prayers, he heard a voice…” (A Hundred Sermons Upon the Apocalips of Jesu Christe, 1561).

Even Sda historians know that the Churches followed Sunday as Lords day during time of the Apostles themselves, so Roman pope did not change it!

EGW used the sabbath as her gimmick to make her new cult almost-unique. The Jabroney False Witlesses, springing from the Seven-Day-Adlibbers, used their prohibition against blood transfusions to make THEIR cult unique.

The crazy thing is if you work 6 days, the Sabbath is always Sunday.

Sunday was hidden from view, until Christ. The Hebrews coming out of Egypt started their week on Sunday. If they had not, Saturday day would not be the 7th day. We have with technology shortened the work week to five days. In ancient times, it was custom to work 6 days, but from noon to evening. There was no Sunday per se. It was just the first day of the 6 day work week. Now some work could be started earlier in the day, adding 3 or 4 hours to make a 10 hr. Day.

Here is how Christ changed things up. There is a virtual 8 day week. God gave Himself the first day, and the last day. Sunday, then 6 work days, and then the seventh day (Sabbath), but also a new beginning.

This is why the Bible indicates a finite earth age of 8000 years. God gave Himself the first 1000 years, and the last 1000 years. The 6000 in the middle is for mankind. It is also the amount of time Adam would be punished for his disobedience. Labor is for 6K years, 6 days a week, 6 hours a day. The number given to Adam as a curse.

The first week was 6 literal days. God's day of rest was the first 1000 years. No creation. Then after 1000 years God took Adam and put him in the garden, He just created. Adam was there for 30 years until the fall. He then lived as a sinner for 100 years before Seth was born. A man dying at 100 is considered a sinner.

There are 3 weeks in human history where Yeshua had an 8 day week. The first was the March around Jericho. Starting on Sunday they marched 6 days. On the Sabbath they rested one day. (God did not break His own command) Then on Sunday The end of the rule of Nations came to an end. For 1400 years until AD 30, it was the Law under the house of Jacob.

AD 30 was the second triumphant week. In the middle of the week, Jesus said on the Cross, "It is finished". That was the end of the Law, the vail was torn, all OT saints were resurrected, because the Atonement was applied. The OT saints were placed under the alter in Heaven. The Lamb's book of life was sealed with the name of every human to have lived on earth. Then the Lamb spoke this world into existence. "Slain before the foundation of this world."

2000 years later on AD 2030 in April will be the end of the Church. The nations were given 2000 years, but Abraham sinned with Ishmael. Thus the Hebrews gave back 600 years to the nations. In reality they never overcame the Nations. Neither did the church. It started it's own whoredom within 200 years.

So now we are down to the last 10 years. 7 for the trib, then add 3.5 for Satan. Covid19 was unleashed at the beginning of this 10.5 year period. The first 2 seals binding the Lamb's book of life have been opened.

    Revelation 6:9-17
9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
    12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
    15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Those under the alter are the dead in Christ. This is Paul's rapture looking down from heaven. When the rapture happens, for the Seals belong to the judgment of the church. God on the throne along with the Lamb, Jesus Christ will appear, and everyone on earth will see God and Jesus. They will know the truth of God’s plan and will be without excuse during the trumpets and thunderings. The Trumpets are for Israel, and the thunderings for the Nations. The last 8 day week is the Second Coming. In the middle of this 8 days of Peace, Satan will be given the last 3.5 years, shortning the trib. to 7 years (for the sake of the elect). The last 3 days of this last week is when the two witnesses lay dead, and the 7 vials poured out on Satan and those proudly wearing the punishment of labor 666. Then the battle of Megiddo, and the last 1000 years belonging to God.

This is God's plan of the week, the Sabbath, and the two Sundays.

Yet another "date-setter" who's failed to take several things into consideration.

First, the year was only 360 days long before the 700s BC.

Second, the earth is far-older than 7k years.

And, something I've repeated umpteen times to the Seven-Day-Adlibbers: THE SABBATH WAS GIVEN ONLY TO ISRAEL ! Nowhere in Scripture are non-Israelis commanded to keep it.

Part 7 – Further Testimony by Protestant Reformers

William Perkins (d. 1602), Cambridge theologian and Puritan, authored A Godly and Learned Exposition Upon the First Chapters of the Revelation, published in 1607.

Commenting on Rev. 1:10, he wrote: “The Saboath of the Jews was changed for two causes. First, to maintaine the libertie of the church of the New testament, whereof this was a great part, that they were freed from the ceremonies of the Jews. For when this day was changed, the church was no more tied to the Jews Saboath, neither had any such regard of days and times.

“Secondly, that there might be a more fit time for the memory of the worke of man’s redemption. For as God in the Old testament appointed the seventh day to be a day of rest to remember the first creation [and who created it]; so in the New testament it stands with reason there should be a day to celebrate this worke of redemption [as well as the Redeemer], which is a wonderful creation.” [Perkins then cites Isaiah 66:22 and 2 Cor. 5:17 as examples of a more glorious work of God.]

“For in creation Adam was the head, but in this redemption Christ Jesus is our head. By the first creation we received a temporal life; but by redemption we receive life eternal. In the creation Adam was espoused to Eve, but in the worke of redemption every Christian s espoused to Christ Jesus. By creation Adam had an earthly Paradise; in this redemption we have a heavenly kingdome. In the creation God’s power and wisdom did appear; in this redemption, [in addition to] power and wisdom, he shewed mercy and justice: Justice in Christ’s passion and mercy in our forgiveness. By creation he made man [out] of nothing, but by redemption he made him [who was] worse than nothing [to be] better than he was [originally].

“Therefore, seeing this worke of our redemption is far surpassing the creation, it was meet [i.e. right and good] a day should be set apart for the memory thereof. Now no day could be more fit than the first day of the week in which Christ rose again; whereby he confirmed the work of our redemption. For he died for our sins and rose for our justification (Romans 4:25).”

Francis Turretin (d. 1687), Genevan Reformed theologian, argued for the divine institution of the Lord’s Day, never once giving credence to the false assertion made by the SDA that the Popes changed the day of Christian worship to Sunday.

“The Lord’s day in Christian usage is applied to the first day of the week, appointed for the public worship of God in memory of Christ’s resurrection…. which took place on this day (Matthew 28:1), and for his honor and worship….

“…. [T]he apostles inspired of God sanctioned it in the Christian church by precept, example and their own practice…… therefore, it is said to be of apostolic institution…. Not without the special influence of the Holy Spirit by whom they were infallibly directed to prescribe such things as not only conduced to faith and morals, but also as to the good order of the church and the performance of divine worship.”

He then cites Acts 20:7, 1 Cor. 16:1-2, and Rev. 1:10 as authoritative. Furthermore, he considers that as Lord of the Sabbath (Matt. 12:8), Christ had the right to either immediately by Himself, or mediately by His Apostles, to institute the change under the New Testament. Next, Turretin lists several Early Church Fathers who argued the change as biblically warranted, having nothing to do with compulsory Papal prescription (Institutes of Elenctic Theology, volume, 2, pp. 92-4).

Further Biblical Evidence for Sunday Worship

Besides the unanimous agreement of Christians through the millennia advocating Sunday worship based upon the familiar Scriptures already cited, there are several other Scriptures which point to worship on the first day of the week.

The seventh day of the week is Saturday, while the eighth day is the first day of the next week, Sunday.

Nowhere in the New Testament is a specific day of the week mentioned when Christ appeared to His disciples, other than the first or eighth day; i.e. Sunday.

It was the first day of the week that Christ appeared to Mary Magdalene (John 20:1, 14-17).

It was the same evening, the first day of the week, when Jesus appeared to His disciples, breathing the Holy Spirit upon them (John 20: 19-25).

It was eight days later when Jesus once again appeared to His disciples. It was then that Thomas worshipped Him (John 20:26).

It was the first day of the week (Luke 24:1) that Jesus was discovered missing from His tomb. That same day (verse 13) Jesus appeared to two disciples on the way to Emmaus.

Pentecost occurred on the first day of the week, fifty days from His resurrection (Source).

Not by coincidence, Old Testament teaching requires Jewish male babies be circumcised on the eighth day (Leviticus 12:3). Is this not a foreshadowing of the circumcision of the heart given all Christians in the New Testament covenant?

Conclusion: It is only in the deluded minds of the SDA and other Saturday Sabbatarians that Sunday worship was enacted by tyrannical Roman Catholic authority, having no biblical credence whatsoever.

NEXT: SDA preposterous fear of losing their constitutional right to worship on Saturday.

A note: the 7-day week was first recorded by the Sumerians in the 21st C. BC, according to the phases of the moon. While the month changed from almost-exactly 30 days to the 29.5-day cycle of today in the 700s BC when the year went from 360 to 365.25 days, (at the time the sun moved retrograde in the sky for Hezekiah) the week remained the same.

And the days have remained in the same order in the week during all that time, while called by different names in different cultures & languages. What we call Saturday or Sabbath has been the 7th day since before God gave the sabbath to Israel, & what we call Sunday has been the 1st day of the week during this time. So, there's really no valid argument about which day is when !

But again, GOD GAVE THE SABBATH ONLY TO ISRAEL. NOWHERE IN SCRIPTURE ARE GENTILES COMMANDED TO KEEP IT !

Another note: We can tell if a religious denomination is a cult or not by its view of whom JESUS CHRIST is.

The Mor(m)ons ADD to the Biblical account of Jesus' earthly life, saying He dealt with Americans from C.2000 BC til C. 400 AD. Thus wrote Joey Smith in his Book Of Mormon. This does NOT match the Scriptural account at all.

The Jabroney False Witlesses don't believe Jesus was the actual Creator of the universe, following His Father's "blueprint". They also believe He was the archangel Michael before He came to earth.

The Seven-day-Adlibbers claim OPENLY that Jesus is the Son of God, etc. same as Christians do, but they also believe He is the archangel Michael, since their guru, Ellen White, wrote that He was.

Thus, those three "denominations" are actually pseudo/quasi-Christian CULTS ! And the Saturday sabbath is the gimmick the SDA uses to make itself distinct.

Part 8 – SDA All-Consuming Fear of Breaking the Sabbath

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death (Revelation 21:8).

Ellen White, infallible SDA prophetess of God, has received divine revelations which must be viewed by her sympathizers as sacred truth, not to be contradicted nor disbelieved. To do so has eternally faal consequences. Without question, the paramount ‘truth’ binding on all Adventists is that of 7th-day Sabbath-keeping, reflected in their very name.

According to the official SDA website, “When the Sabbath is kept, it is a witness to the rest that comes from trusting God alone as our sustainer, as the basis of our salvation, and as the ground of our hope in the future.”

The reader need note the basis of SDA salvation is not the finished work and person of the Lord Jesus Christ. Nor is He the ground of our hope and future. Rather it is the keeping of the 7th-day Sabbath. It is due to this fundamental error – an overt perversion of scriptural truth -- that Adventism cannot be considered orthodox Christianity. In Adventism, man was made for the Sabbath. Man is to serve the Sabbath, to worship the Sabbath…..the ‘Sabbath’ being a code name for the Adventist ‘God.’ To break the Adventist Sabbath with its mandated rules is tantamount to asking for eternal judgment.

Ellen White is, in all practicality, the Adventist ‘Holy Spirit.’ For she interprets all Scripture, while frequently giving new revelations, whether through visions, dreams, cereal box tops, or other means, all of which are to be considered of equal authority to Holy Scripture.

Thus, the official SDA website cited above, under the heading, Principles Guiding Sabbath Observance, cites Mrs. White’s divine utterance concerning this: “The law forbids secular labor on the rest day of the Lord; the toil that gains a livelihood must cease; no labor for worldly pleasure or profit is lawful upon that day; but as God ceased His labor of creating, and rested upon the Sabbath and blessed it, so man is to leave the occupations of his daily life, and devote those sacred hours to healthful rest, to worship, and to holy deeds.”–The Desire of Ages, p 207.

This website then gives current SDA requirements which all Ellen White-fearing members should follow on the Sabbath, lest they displease and incite the wrath of their Sabbath-God. The following is an abbreviated list of Sabbath commandment do’s and don’ts compiled from this SDA website:

    1. Do not indulge in sports or recreational activities.

    2. Do not let alien cultural thoughts or customs interfere with the sacredness of that holy day.

    3. Avoid intense physical exertion [No untoward intimacy with spouse?].

    4. Do not criticize non-Sabbatarian Christians who participate in activities which you do not approve.

    5. Do not sightsee when on vacation or traveling.

    6. Do not participate in any secular activity when on vacation or traveling.

    7. No choir practice is allowed.

    8. Nature walks and field trips are allowed with certain stipulations.

    9. The act of giving – stewardship/tithing – is encouraged [surprise, surprise].

    10. Sabbath weddings are discouraged due to work overload.

    11. Sabbath funerals are to be avoided.

    12. There is an exhaustive list of guidelines for Adventist and non-Adventist hospital members to follow.

    13. Adventist educational institutions must include: Demarcation of the beginning and ending of the Sabbath hours; Keeping necessary duties to a minimum; Structuring of the weekly program so that the Sabbath will be a lingering joy and the climax of the week; Re: cafeteria sales: To avoid unnecessary business transactions during sacred time, each institution should make provision for payment outside of the Sabbath hours.

    14. Avoid attending Faculty meetings on the Sabbath.

    15. Minimize travel on the Sabbath.

    16. Do not take final exams on the Sabbath.

    17. Do not accept work assignments on the Sabbath without giving it much prayer, asking the Lord for guidance. [Lord, should I take this job which will dishonor your Sabbath, or should I continue to allow my family to go without food, clothing and shelter?]

    18. Do not eat at restaurants.

    19. Do not purchase goods.

    20. Do not pay for services provided by others.

    21. Purchase gasoline before the Sabbath.

    22. Travel on commercial airlines, trains or buses is to be avoided.

Dialogue Between Adventist and Her Non-Adventist Christian Boyfriend

    Ellen: I’m hungry.

Damon: Chili’s is just down the street.

Ellen: You know very well eating at a restaurant on the Sabbath is strictly forbidden.

Damon: My God has no such rules.

    Ellen: Well mine does!

Damon: Ok. Let me check when sunset begins tonight.

(Damon looks up time of sunset on his iPhone.)

Damon: It says sunset begins at 6:45. Right now it’s 6:10. It should all be good if we order right away.

Ellen: I can’t take the chance. Too many things can go wrong. The service could be slow. The kitchen could be backed up with orders. I could easily be in Chili’s after sunset. I’m not willing to risk eternity for a tofuburger!

Damon: Ok. Does your God allow you to eat take-out, if you remain in the car and I go inside to order?

Seven-Day-Adlibbers, same as Jews, forget God's rule about seeking salvation by keeping the "law" : One must keep EVERY JOT & TITTLE of EVERY law in the book ! One who fails in one little point fails in all !

Do Ad-Libbers & Jews in the USA stone adulterers or LBGTQs? Let he who is without sin throw the first stone.

    Part 9 – SDA All-Consuming Fear of Sabbath-Breaking

National Sunday Law – A Perceived Threat and Conspiracy Ideation Shared by All Adventists

“It will be declared that the nation [America] is offending God by the violation of the Sunday-Sabbath…..Those who honor the Bible Sabbath [Saturday] will be denounced as enemies of law and order, as breaking down the moral restraints of society, causing anarchy and corruption……Through the two great errors, the immortality of the soul and Sunday sacredness, Satan will bring the people under his deceptions……The movement for Sunday enforcement becomes more bold and decided. The law is invoked against commandment-keepers……As the defenders of truth refuse to honor the Sunday-Sabbath, some of them will be thrust into prison, some will be exiled, some will be treated as slaves….. In the last conflict the Sabbath will be the special point of controversy throughout all Christendom. Secular rulers and religious leaders will unite to enforce the observance of the Sunday…. a decree will finally be issued denouncing them as deserving of the severest punishment…..death” (The Great Controversy by Ellen White, p. 358 ff.)

According to a deep-seated, core belief of Adventists, all Sunday worshippers are, in actuality, worshipping Satan. Soon, ever so soon, seemingly sweet, humble, compassionate Sunday-Sabbath Christians will turn into vile, depraved, blood-lusting servants of Satan, seeking out and destroying Saturday Sabbath-keepers. Secular atheists will even join in the fun, as they take delight in shredding the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Think of it as an Adventist version of ‘The Purge.’

Rather than submit to Sunday worship, the strongest among the Adventist remnant will prefer death to deliverance.

“The same trials were experienced by men of God in ages past. Wycliffe, Huss, Luther, Tyndale, Baxter, Wesley, urged that all doctrines be brought to the test of the Bible, and declared they would renounce everything which it condemned. Against these men, persecution raged with relentless fury; yet they ceased not to declare the truth……. the people of God must soon seal their testimony with their blood, as did the martyrs before them” (ibid. pp. 377 & 393).

White and SDAs would conflate their yet-to-be-martyred Saturday-Sabbath soldiers with the character, martyrdom and doctrines of some of the greatest Reformers, all of whom would have gladly renounced and exposed the lies and misrepresentations of the SDA church.

Other Sabbatarians, we are told, will flee to escape the punishments which await them.

“The people of God will then flee from the cities and villages, and associate together in companies, dwelling in the most desolate and solitary places. Many will find refuge in the strongholds of the mountains” (ibid. p. 392).

This is evidenced today by those who prepare for the soon enactment of the National Sunday Law. They are known as Doomsday Preppers.

I would imagine Hobie and his cohorts have stockpiled all the supplies needed to sustain them in their wilderness hideout…..the location of which will remain secret to all but an elite inner circle of loyal Adventist preppers. No way in Hell will Hobie ever be a slave of some Sunday-worshipping Satanists!

The choice one makes during this time of trouble determines whether one lives with Christ forever or is to be annihilated.

“The Sabbath will be the great test of loyalty; for it is the point of truth especially controverted…… the time of trouble is a fearful ordeal for God’s people…..the fire that consumes the wicked purifies the earth….no eternally burning hell…. Too late they see that the Sabbath of the fourth commandment is the seal of the living God. Too late they see the truth of their spurious Sabbath" (ibid. pp. 374, 395, 402, 429).

NEXT: An unfounded fear which never had a shred of credibility.

Those holding to Ellen White need to realize "God sent her visions", due to her claim she could not understand the scriptures!
