    I have to say that if his family are having Al Sharpton preach at his funeral, that at least we know his family members aren’t true believers.

    Al Sharpton is a Baptist minister! What in the world could you possibly be talking about? I am also told that George Floyd's family are also Baptist and that the service took place in a Baptist Church. Surely you must be joking! LOL

    You obviously have a preconceived philosophical prejudice about something. Not all Baptists that call themselves Baptists are Baptists.

    Dang, I better spell out in my will exactly who can preach at my funeral. Wouldn't want to lose my salvation due to my family picking the wrong pastor

    The man is dead. It's between him and the Lord now. I don't see how speculating on his salvation does anyone's cause any good.

    As far as Sharpton goes. Has everyone forgotten the Tawana Brawley fraud he promoted which resulted in a cop committing suicide after a barrage of false allegations were alleged against him and other cops? Brawley admitted on a hidden tape to Sharpton she made the whole thing up and Sharpton (on tape) demanded she stick to her lies to advance hid agenda.

    Plus he incited riots and the killings of Jews in Brooklyn. One of the first pogroms that ever happened in America was because of his agitation. African-American thugs actually went door to door attacking Jews in their homes.

    Any thread that starts by judging someone else's salvation and declaring an entire family as lost and going to hell because they don't like the speaker at a funeral doesn't make me sad - it makes me sick.

    Has anyone who has declared Floyd's family as hell-bound considered the pressure Al Sharpton could have possibly placed on them to "preach" the funeral? He isn't known for humility nor living behind the scenes. Even if they sought him out - who cares?!?!

    Honest to God - hand on the Bible - who cares?!?!?

    Has anyone who has taken the stand that the family will burn in hell for eternity stopped to pray for them instead of gossiping about them.

    This thread is gossip plain and simple. JUST LIKE the hideous thread gossiping about the status of the black father in America. Gossip, jokes, and condemnations.

    No answers. No prayers. Just at best - poor taste and at worst - hatred. And you can't even see it.

    The Baptist Board has not done well this week.
