AND? what does that have to do with religious freedom being 'wrong' in your eyes?

I fear that near into the future (depending on who gets elected into office) we will lose our freedom of religion and if that's the case I know that I will be one of the first to be thrown in prison for the Gospel's sake.

I share your concern and can assure you that the liberals will overtake this country and Christianity will cease to be a conservative church and will turn into a totally unsaved church as represented before the Tribulation. It was fun while it lasted. May God bless those believers who endured the difficulties of the 4th world, 3rd world, may they be richly blessed in the coming Kingdom of Messiah.

Obviously and not surprising the African American population have very talented and extremely intelligent people. So why is it that not only in America but in all countries blacks were taken captive and enslaved?

The worst slum in the world is in Nairobi. Many places in Africa has not changed and people still can’t live lives that are enjoyed by us in America.

The right attitude for the African American community should be to recognize that demonic idolatry was commonplace in Africa leading to generations of struggling and corruption. And that black Americans have the blessed opportunity to start their very own culture of dignity. To reject the idea of a divine judgement passed upon blacks is to justify hatred for white people.

In earlier centuries the Mongols swept thru many idolatrous peoples. God used nations to judge others in the past and still does today. This is the only way out for black America to escape self victimhood and heal from their ptsd of the history of slavery/segregation/discrimination and racism from the fringe of society.

"African American" is a New-Age-Liberal RACIST term we should all abandon. The only African American I ever heard of is retired basketball star Hakeem Olajuwon, who was originally a Nigerian. When he became a US citizen, a US Govt. paperwork glitch failed to end his Nigerian citizenship, so he was both a Nigerian & US citizen for a little while. Then, he was truly an "African American " !

Why is that term racist ? Because it's only applied to dark-skinned people ! TV personality Hoda Kotb was born of Egyptian parents, but no one has, to my knowledge, called her an African American. Same for any other light-skinned Africans in the USA.

They are all Christians and they all were raised in a predominantly black American culture.

Yes, Eternity in Their Hearts is a good book. The trick in every culture is to take the Message to the people. While I might quibble with the idea of God being at the center, I believe he calls to every culture even using elements from within. These singers are not mainstream, but praise God for whatever Christian impact they make on their own or any culture.

However, your sourcing may be a bit off. Blacks coming from Africa rather than America, there is no good reason to believe they didn’t bring music with them. It shouldn’t bother us that they co-opted it for wherever they were, and eventually applied it to the Gospel. But it shouldn’t surprise us that it would end up in mainstream culture in a different guise. And, yes, Satan does pervert.
