I just do not see the Gospel of the Kingdom being any different then what Paul and rest of the Apostles were teaching and writing!Mark 1:14-15. 'Now after John had been put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe in the Gospel."'
Don't set up a barrier between Paul and his Lord and Saviour. That is a terrible error.
It isn't. One Bible, one doctrine.I just do not see the Gospel of the Kingdom being any different then what Paul and rest of the Apostles were teaching and writing!
No. You have the tail wagging the dog.is the Gospel not Pauline Justification?
The Gospel is how lost sinners are reconciled and justified back to God, is that not what is explained in Pauline Justification then? No. You have the tail wagging the dog.
Let me ask your question this way - Are the Gospels insufficient in expressing the gospel of Jesus Christ? The Gospel is how lost sinners are reconciled and justified back to God, is that not what is explained in Pauline Justification then?
Jesus is the Gospel!Let me ask your question this way - Are the Gospels insufficient in expressing the gospel of Jesus Christ?
My answer is they are sufficient and Christ expressed the gospel adequately. I see the Gospels as written for the world (that men may believe) while the Pauline epistles are written (by their own admission) to Christians who are already saved.
Why do you say that Jesus is the Gospel?Jesus is the Gospel!
the Gospel itself is the very message of the Lord Jesus mission and work accomplished for our sakes, and think that the core/kernel message is explained in all of the Gospels, but that the Epistles flesh it out further for us!Why do you say that Jesus is the Gospel?
I ask because that is not what is taught in the Gospels (the Four Gospels) or by Paul. Paul thought that the gospel was the news of what Jesus had accomplished (Paul says His death and resurrection). In the Four Gospels Jesus taught the same, but in the framework of the kingdom of God that is to come and is now.
So I may agree with you depending on what you mean. But then it would not be relevant to the discussion at hand.
Do you believe that the Gospel of John is a sufficient presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ? What about Matthew, Mark, and Luke?
So the gospel itself is not Jesus but the message about Jesus. I agree with that part.the Gospel itself is the very message of the Lord Jesus mission and work accomplished for our sakes, and think that the core/kernel message is explained in all of the Gospels, but that the Epistles flesh it out further for us!
That the resurrected Jesus Christ is coming to earth to rule and reign as promised in the "LORDS Prayer".What is the Gospel of the Kingdom?
So is a future reigning here, and not a spiritual one now from above? That the resurrected Jesus Christ is coming to earth to rule and reign as promised in the "LORDS Prayer".
BOTH at the same timeSo is a future reigning here, and not a spiritual one now from above?

It's clear that the disciples are not preaching the death burial and resurrection prior to the death burial and resurrection.Mark 1:14-15.
The disciples are not preaching the same Gosepl as we understand after the Cross . Otherwise why is Peter trying to prevent the cross by slicing a man's ear off .is the Gospel not Pauline Justification?
Is he talking about the death , burial and resurrection here ?Mark 1:14-15. 'Now after John had been put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe in the Gospel."'
