ok but which verses say this ? I know some people have decided as an over arching belief that this is true and then get quite sanctimonious about being questioned on it . So let's not say either way is true for now and walk me through how you see it . I don't mean list me 100 verses that say the word repent either .

    Completely?

[John 6:44 NASB] 44 "No one can come to [T] Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day. [P]

You mean except for T.I.P. which are found together in a single biblical verse? :Rolleyes

He can answer for himself, but this scene immediately came to my mind:

37 Now when they heard [this,] they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brethren, what shall we do?" 38 Peter [said] to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 "For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself." 40 And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation!" 41 So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls. 42 They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. [Act 2:37-42 NASB]

Mark 1:15, Jesus as the Speaker, "and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. REPENT, and BELIEVE in the Gospel."

Luke 24:47, "and that REPENTANCE for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem" (best textual evidence reading)

Acts 2:37-38, "Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” And Peter said to them, “REPENT and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

    Jonah 3:6-10

"The word reached the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, removed his robe, covered himself with sackcloth, and sat in ashes. 7 And he issued a proclamation and published through Nineveh, “By the decree of the king and his nobles: Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything. Let them not feed or drink water, 8 but let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and let them call out mightily to God. Let everyone turn from his evil way and from the violence that is in his hands. (true repentance) 9 Who knows? God may turn and relent and turn from his fierce anger, so that we may not perish.”10 When God saw what they did (their WORK, as the KJV reads), how they turned from their evil way (repented), God relented of the disaster that he had said he would do to them, and he did not do it."

[John 12:32-33 NIV] 32 And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself." 33 He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die.

Salvation ... It's not just for those that can enter the Temple any more!

[Acts 1:8 NIV] 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

    Q. How could one obey God under the LAW in 100 BC? Who could physically do it?

    Q. How could one obey God under GRACE in 100 AD? Who could physically do it?

Ok as all the verses are a continuation of John's baptism, would you agree that no gentiles are in any of those verses ?

is there any evidence or suggestion in the Gospel quotes, that the words are addressed only to the Jews? At the start of the Gospel of John, we read that Jesus came to His own, but they did not accept Him, and goes on to say, "But as many as received Him" (1:11-12). There is no restriction for the Gospel, except with the "Reformed/Calvinist", who have their own "theology" above what the Word of God actually teaches! Like in the famous text of John 3:16, where "world" refers to the "whole human race", which even Calvin himself admits to in his commentary, and yet there are some who still insist, with zero Biblical justification, that "world" must mean here "elect". Soley for their purpose of their theology!

    After ...

[Genesis 3:15 NASB] 15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel."

My turn, Is ALL SCRIPTURE God breathed, including John 6?

In truth, John 6 IS THE GOSPEL. It is folly to reject anything God the Son said as "not the Gospel".
