Alright, from the very beginning here, call this a pick-pick-pick poll, or a Scrooge poll, or whatever, But I think we all-- or almost-- would admit that some of the things we sing about this time of the year are a bit questionable doctrinally or logically. This poll is about what we see as the worst such offenses in those ways, limiting it to songs that express, or at least imply, some doctrine about the birth of Christ, rather than about songs of fantasy (with the possible exception of Do You See What I See), about Santa Claus and reindeer, or secular songs such as White Christmas or Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire. If you choose an option, but not for the reason included, please share your thinking.

This doesn’t really qualify but it’s the worst song I’ve ever heard, Christmas or not.

Dominick the Donkey - De Italian Christmas Donkey

I attended a company Holiday party years ago and heard this song.
An older woman with a terrible festive part hat and too much to drink, lead a troop of employees around the hall dancing and singing to this awful song.
I’ll never be able to wipe the image from my mind.
And I’ve never attended another company party since then.

The songs in that poll don't even make the list for the TEN worst ...

"Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer"

"I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas"

I originally responded based on the Title and the POLL. (#12)

After reading the OP, I changed my vote from "OTHER" to "This is a poll of over-analyzing which cannot lead to anything good".

If you REALLY want to hate on Christmas, might I suggest that the SDA church might be a better fit than Baptists ... they hate on lots of Christian traditions. ;)

Puts me in mind of this jolly little video by Lutheran Satire:

More that could be added to the poll:
"In the bleak midwinter... snow was falling snow on snow, snow on snow...!"
"Everybody loves to take a holiday" completely trivialises the birth of Jesus to the point that it would be better not to mention it and just stick to the holiday message.
"Jingle Bells" is a firm favourite here among the school kids and is mixed indiscriminately with the ones that actually speak of Jesus.

I actually like the thorough exposition of the meaning of the 3 gifts in "We three kings", despite the misleading first line!

I might have included the song I composed about the visit of the magi, but only 2 or 3 besides me have ever heard it.
