this reasoning is faulty, because we can NEVER be like Jesus Christ, Who IS Almighty God, and at His Incarnation, took on Himself the very Nature of humans, and IS The God-Man. So, as this IS The Jesus Christ of the Bible, HOW can He ever be like us, or, we like Him?

I think you are right that we are not understand in the same way. I think this has us talking past one another a bit.

We both agree it is impossible for God to lie. I am thinking like it is impossible that I shoplift - not because I am unable but because I am unwilling.

But in the end it is the same - it is impossible that Christ would sin.

Exactly. Christ had to be like us to redeem us. And even He was tempted in all points but without sin. This is the point of the Incarnation.

Yes, He did, in that He is consubstantial with our human natures (Hebrews 2:14), for the purpose of being one with us. But this does not imply that He also had to be "able to sin", which is a false theology!

    My last on this issue

That is why our God is fantastic.

Once in a while I choose not to sin.
He chose to not sin every time.

    like as we are
    yet
    without sin

Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin

If the Lord Jesus was not able to sin, why did God take the time to allow Satan to tempt Him? Matt 4. Did those stones have nothing to worry about? They could never have been turned to bread? Did God the Holy Spirit and the Lord Jesus “winkety-blink” at each other when Jesus was led up by the Holy Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil knowing it was all a rouse since all the temptations in the world wouldn’t have mattered if Jesus was not able to sin.

For me, if the Lord Jesus was tempted in all ways like we are, (Heb 4:15) yet all those temptations were essentially not necessary because He could not have sinned anyway, then I got jipped. And God the Father doesn’t do that with His love nor with what He lost at the cross. I don’t believe God was kidding or making temptations of Jesus moot. That’s why I believe the Lord most certainly could have sinned. Why else would He be called the Last Adam?

Think of Christ in His holiness ie Christ is holy. For us to contemplate that the Sovereign, Holy, God of heaven could even have the potential to sin is wicked/evil/vile/heretical

God cannot sin because He is the epitome of purity, light and holiness. Just because He was tempted does not mean He could sin.

This is a centuries old discussion called peccability vs impeccability. God cannot sin, and we should be thankful for that attribute.

    Look up impeccability

Christ would be denying His very own character if He had the ability to sin. Remember, there are passages about sin in the presence of God

Christ is the last Adam and did what none of us could do ie live a perfect sinless life, fulfilling all of tge law. The First Adam fell in the Garden, the second Adam completed it, serves ad our example and most importantly serves as our Saviour to deliver us from sin

Habakkuk appeals to God's righteousness (God is to Holy to condone sin) NOT divine weakness.

It is impossible for God to sin because God is righteous and holy, not because God is less powerful than men. The difference is righteousness being descriptive of God rather than moral shackles binding God in a prescriptive way.

Could he die the death assigned for the sin?

If he could not, how exactly is atonement made for the soul?
for the life (soul) of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar, to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood which maketh atonement for the soul. Lev 17:11

What makes the flesh (that which God made from the dust of the earth) living soul?
“he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption. Acts 2:31 The soul was dead in Hades. The flesh?
And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David. Acts 13:34

Jesus is the only man born of woman who has resisted unto blood striving against the sin (singular).

The flesh and blood Son of God was sinless unto death.

Our God is an awesome God!

    Amen.
    For he hath made him
    to be sin for us,
    who knew no sin;
that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Where in Scripture does it say that Jesus was not capable of sinning per one of the definitions of impeccable? Holiness and inability to sin are not the same thing. Jesus chose not to sin or Hebrews 4:15 and Matthew 4 and Luke 4:1-13 were a waste of time. How could they not be? Why allow Satan to tempt Christ if He was not able to sin? Were the angels standing in God’s presence in Isaiah 6, holy?

strawman argument, as being "tried" to commit wrong, does not mean that one the person who is "tired", must be able to "fail". This is the nonsense being said over and again on here, by people who really do not understand Biblical Christology! Jesus Christ, after His Incarnation, is ONE Person, Two Natures, 100% God and 100% Man, the God-Man. It is rubbish to suggest that the devil could "test/tempt" only the "human nature", as if Jesus Christ is two Persons! He is God, and will never cease to be God, and God is not able to be tempted to sin!

The first Adam was created with no old sin nature but he chose to sin. Jesus had no old sin nature and He chose not to sin. Hence, last Adam but your points are also valid. Did the Lord Jesus have to learn about who and what God is per His Word like you and I do or did He automatically know the Word of God during His first advent?

Should I scratch Philippians 2:5-8 from my Bible? And what is the therefore there for in Philippians 2:9?
If it’s a straw man argument, why waste time tempting the Lord? What is the purpose of allowing Satan to tempt Christ?
