I would disagree with the statement "our faith is the basis in which God grants us salvation" I believe Christs redeeming death is the basis for God giving Salvation, whereas faith is given to apprehend it. I agree with the remainder of your statement,

Disagree, for that would mean all mankind is freely Justified by His Grace. Thats universalism, a heresy I believe.

Faith is that Grace given by which the saved come into a saving knowledge of the Salvation they have based upon the Saving work of Christ, through Faith they understand !

Its a fruit of the Spirit Gal 5:22, so it comes out of the New Birth, when the regenerated persons spiritually hears the word of truth.Ro 10:17

    What say you ?

Y1 just makes it up and posts nonsense. The claim Jesus incarnate had more power than God the Father is complete rubbish.

So how did the "all knowing Jesus" not know? How did the all knowing Holy Spirit not know. No answer will be forthcoming, and biblical truth conflicts with Y1 fiction.

Yes, I agree. And when my kid jumped into a pool he did not actually say he got wet, but I assumed it all the same.
Does 2 Peter 2:1 say the false teacher was purchased? Yes. Does 1 Timothy 2:6 say Christ gave Himself as a ransom for all? Yes. And I am going to say that His purchase was made when He died as a ransom for all, therefore logical necessity requires that 2 Peter 2:1 is referring to being bought with His blood.

And note folks, no alternate view, bought with "something else" has been put forward.

And now we get yet another false charge, that the person headed for destruction was not really headed for destruction because the purchase requires automatic justification. :) I kid you not, one absurdly after another as one biblical truth after another is denied.

2 Pet 2:1 doesnt say anything about being bought with blood.

Liberals use the tactic of denial to evade truth. Did Brightfame52 say what Christ used to buy the guy headed for destruction? Nope. I showed that he gave Himself as a ransom for all which would include the guy heading for destruction. But this scholar ignored the evidence and simply repeated his denial of the obvious. Go figure... :)

Take a blank 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of paper. Use a drinking glass and draw a 2 or so inch circle on the right hand side. Inside the circle write "In Christ." On the left hand side write "Not in Christ." Draw a black dot on the left hand side, and label it "not saved." Within the circle draw a dot and label it "Saved."

Now draw an arrow from the "not saved" dot to the "saved" dot and label the arrow "redemption." Got it? :)

No, not more power but able to do something the father could not due, due to Jesus now having also a human nature and accepted limitations while incarnated on earth!

I kid you not, just read this post slowly. Jesus could limit His knowledge by the magic of the incarnation, but this was beyond the power of God the Father. On and on folks, on and on....

Right, and therefore lacked the power to limit their knowledge! Got it...
