    Think he would have approved of the Nkjv, and would have been part of trying to get out a MT based version!

    I don't doubt your point about Dean J. W. Burgon.

    On the other hand, I am not sure that problem is confined to the KJVOs. In my interaction with Baptists who are Fundamentalists I have run across many who love to have the title but do not want to do the work (whether KJV-pro or KJV-no; of course, it is the "O's" who are more likely to cite Burgon). I might further explain that I am giving this from a perspective of one who believes we should prefer the local church as the educational institution ordained by our Lord, and one who also thinks preachers should not throw around ttitles to impress people. We can usually tell whether or not one knows what he or she is talking about. However, it is especially exasperating when "Doctors" appear to be "Dunces."
