And all Christendom is not Baptist aka to hold that the New Testament documents are the sole apostolic authority for the Christian faith.

Do you deny the Word is the eternal Son of God prior to His incarnation? John 1:18, the Son being God of the OT, Genesis 12:7, John 8:56 etc. Proverbs 30:4.

No. Mary is the mother of the man, not a mother of God who preexisted His incarnation being the eternal Son who is without beginning.

“Oneness” or “Modalism” is a belief that denies the three distinct persons within the Godhead. The belief is that God only appeared to human beings in various “modes” (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) but does not exist as three distinct persons within a “Tri-unity” or Trinity Godhead.

He is asking you if modalism or “oneness” represents your belief.

What is the purpose of this thread? What point are you trying to make? What are you trying to accomplish?

    peace to you

Not my question. It was a question asked regarding a post citing:
    Hosea 11:9, ". . . for I am God, and not man; . . ."
    Malachi 3:6, ". . . For I am the LORD, I change not; . . ."
1 Timothy 2:5, ". . . For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; . . ."

That God is not a man. And that the Son of God is both fully God and fully a man who is also someone other than God.

Mary is the mother of Jesus. Jesus is fully God and fully man.

Mary is the mother of God incarnate; Jesus.

Do you deny Jesus is fully God at the time Mary gave birth to Him?

    peace to you

The guy has a problem. I have no clue what it is. My view here is explicitly Trinitarian.

So “Jesus is not God” is your position after all. By your own statement, Jesus is someone other than God.

Who do you think He is?

    peace to you

No. Mary is the mother of the man who is the Son of God, Luke 1:35. God the Father is not the Son.

    We have a different understanding.
Jesus is not God the Father. Big difference. Jesus is the man the Word, God the Uncaused Cause, John 1:2-3, became on behalf of God the Father, Ephesians 3:9, ". . . in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: . . ."

Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; Jer 1:4,5 speaking of Jeremiah.

And the Pharisees having been gathered together, Jesus did question them saying, 'What do ye think concerning the Christ? of whom is he son?' They say to him, 'Of David.' He saith to them, 'How then doth David in the Spirit call him lord, saying, The Lord said to my lord, Sit at my right hand, till I may make thine enemies thy footstool? If then David doth call him lord, how is he his son?'

This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Until I make thy foes thy footstool. Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Acts 2:32-36

This Jesus, that same Jesus, the Jesus of verses 22,23
Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel: 2 Tim 2:8

I believe everything that is; Is because of that Son, the one to be born of the seed of David. Before the foundation of the world he was going to be born of the seed of David.

It was the means by which God was going to destroy the devil and his works. Through the manifested Son of God born of the seed of David.

Consider Jeremiah, then ask yourself, ? Judas Iscariot, ? me, ? you. Kind of a deep thought, no? IMHO Scary in a way.

    Have faith of God.
