The time period is identified as “the last days”, which is prior to Christ’s return." Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years." ( Revelation 20:6 ).
" But in the last days it shall come to pass, [that] the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills;
and people shall flow unto it.
2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem." ( Micah 4:1-2 ).

The Apostle John does not write in chronological order. He writes in big theological themes that are repeated over and over.
At one time, he speaks of scenes in heaven during the great tribulation on earth. He may speak of a time prior to the tribulation. He may skip to the scene in heaven after the 2nd coming (the saints reigning with Him and passing judgment) and then go back to the time prior to the 2nd coming.
John’s purpose is not to present a chronological order, but to give us theological truths.
peace to you
