You are correct. I didn’t understand your argument.

You seem to be stating that Christ was already The High Priest, prior to the incarnation. Since He left the Fathers side to come to the earth during the incarnation, He could come to earth for a 1000 year reign and that wouldn’t effect His priesthood either.

Was that your argument?

You would have to believe Christ had an eternal ministry in heaven of making intercession before the Father for believers.

I’ll think about it, but it doesn’t seem consistent with the establishment of a new Priesthood to replace the old. And it doesn’t change the statement in scripture that if He were on the earth, He would not be a priest.

Thanks for the comment

peace to you
There is not even a place on earth currently to be a priest. In that regards not even a human can be a priest. Are you also claiming no priesthood in the temporal body of each believer? That would bring Christ to earth and nullify the priesthood in heaven. You cannot have both, and stick to your misinterpretation.

If flesh and blood cannot enter the kingdom (millennium), then Satan must rally glorified saints against glorified saints after he is loosed leading up to the battle of that great day.

Also, any who plan to offer animal sacrifices in a supposed 3rd temple, have committed an unforgivable sin in their hearts according to Hebrews 6 planning to return to that banned form of worship. Lot's more ......

If Jesus the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, the creator of all things and able to hold all things together with His power, then He must have the ability to hold the office of both King and High Priest. Was not Melchizedek both King and High Priest?
Agreed, as he is not Prophet, High priest, and King at same time?

There may be no place to offer animal sacrifices, but Peter says believers are a Royal priesthood here on earth.

His focus is on having direct access to God, with Christ as our intermediary High Priest in heaven to make intercession for us.

As for the rest of what you said, I don’t follow your logic concerning my supposed misinterpretation.

Thanks for the comment, though.

Revelation 20!
Revelation 20 says nothing of reigning on earth.

The context of the passage is that those believers martyred during the tribulation will receive a reward for the faithfulness. That reward is to reign with Christ for 1000 years.

Christ reigns in heaven for eternity.

We don’t know what the glorified body of Christ (or ourselves) is made of. It will be physical, I believe. Whether that means flesh and bone, perhaps not.

Luke 24:29
Don’t see how that verse supports you flesh and bone glorified body statement. Probably a misquote.

If you look at the post resurrection appearances, the body of Jesus is physical, but has changed. He still had a hole in His side from the spear, but no blood, no apparent pain from the still present wounds.

No verse says He will reign on the earth for 1000 years.

As for reigning in heaven eternally, I’ll check.

peace to you

I will save you the trouble... Why do brethren seem to overlook these verses in scripture?... Brother Glen:)

From the well known resurrection chapter 1 Corinthians 15!

1 Corinthians 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

15:27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

Btw... What does scripture say?

A resurrected body is not glorified. That is the joining of one's spirit to an incorruptible body. The 5th Seal is the glorification of the entire church body. Those already in Paradise from Abel to the last soul on earth that is in Christ. The resurrection in Revelation 20:4 is a first, meaning physical. The first birth is physical, and the first death is physical. The first resurrection is physical. The second birth is by adoption into the family of God. The Second Death is in the Lake of Fire. There is no second resurrection out of the Lake of Fire. The first deals with the physical. The Second deals with the spiritual. You have to have a first birth (physical) before you can have a second birth (spiritual). Jesus explained all that to Nicodemus in John 3. Not sure why no one can apply Jesus' teaching to John's other writings? John wrote both accounts, and knew what he was writing about.

Blessed are any who take part in the first (physical) resurrection. The Second Death has no power over them. That includes all in Paradise since the Cross. O Death, where is thy sting, O grave where is thy victory. The first resurrection is to a permanent incorruptible body both in Paradise and on earth. The location does not matter. The time does not matter. A soul in Christ goes from one body to the next in a resurrection body, because all those in Paradise are resurrected already in Christ. It started with Lazarus, happened at the Cross. For the thief on the Cross and Stephen it was immediate. For all who have died since, it is immediate. At the Second Coming the rest of the dead corruptible (physical) bodies will be changed to incorruptible permanent bodies.

Then you have the tribulation wheat and sheep. You have the ones with their head chopped off. The angels are on earth transporting the souls to the first (physical) resurrection at the start of the Millennium in Revelation 20:4. These are not glorified church members. These are sinless incorruptible bodies, because the souls are judged by those on the thrones (the church) and given life on earth to populate the earth.

What is not allowed in Paradise is Adam's flesh and blood. Physical incorruptible bodies are allowed in Paradise. At the Second Coming, the church is Glorified and remains in Paradise per the 5th and 6th Seal. Paradise comes down as the New Jerusalem in the NHNE. The 144k and the tribulation souls whose bodies lost their sin filled heads, do have incorruptible bodies. Their offspring for 40 generations and 1000 years have incorruptible first resurrection permanent physical bodies without sin. It is the billions of humans making up the last few generations who are decieved by Satan. They do not even fight. They march to the city that God loves, to do battle, but are consumed by fire (from heaven) without a shot fired. Yes they have incorruptible bodies that cannot really physically die, that is why God consumes them with fire. They end up in the Lake of Fire, for their obvious rejection of God's plan for their lives. They chose death over life.

Revelation 20:4

"and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."

Satan marches against them on earth when released after the 1000 years. They have a physical resurrection on earth. They live in Jerusalem on earth. They are surrounded by Satan and many decieved humans on earth. They are consumed by fire from heaven on earth.

9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Still the same subject of ruling with Christ in Jerusalem for 1000 years as in verse 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. When sinless people have sinless offspring for 1000 years, there is a population explosion unheard of since before the Flood of Noah. No giants, this time because no one is going to be doing DNA science experiments. No glorified sons of God mixing it up with incorruptible bodies of flesh on the earth.

You do understand that those on earth go on reigning on earth in the NHNE. There is still both a New Heaven and a New Earth.

Every one does not just die, and God starts over with a new life form. All those on earth will keep living on the next reality earth. All the angels in heaven keep on being in the New Heaven. All those in Paradise will keep living in the New Jerusalem. The difference is that at the end of the Millennium when Death is defeated, and the next reality starts, the New Jerusalem, Paradise will be on the earth instead of the old Jerusalem. It is then those in the Old Jerusalem take up residence in the New Jerusalem. The nations of the earth will still be the nations of the new earth. Only God knows and decides the definition of forever. Why settle on the next reality? Reality can change and we will still be with God. Can that change after a few different realities? Who knows?

Eternity is not heaven. Heaven is part of created reality. Eternity is outside of creation. Yes all 3 manifestations of LORD GOD do exist in Eternity outside of created reality. The Lamb, the Word, Jesus Christ, can exist in Eternity outside of reality. Reality is created with time. There is no time in Eternity. Time is part of created reality. God is not, except in the form of the Lord on the throne, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

Nothing you posted changes the fact that scripture says if Christ were on earth, He would not be a priest. His role as High Priest is eternal. His reign is eternal. He position is at the right hand of the Father.

Therefore, there can be no 1000 year reign of Christ on earth, because He would have to stop being our High Priest.

Paul and John say we are raised in the same glorious body Jesus has.

Also, Jesus is related to Jeconia through Mary and no descendent of his can ever rule in Jerusalem. Having been cursed by God.
