To some, the mere mention of demons, devils, and their impact upon mortal humans such as we are, conjures up all sorts of reactions by some folks. God's Word clearly states that there ARE such beings; in fact, the actual personification of Evil, Satan himself did lure our very first parents to distrust what God clearly told them what TO DO, and WHAT NOT TO DO. So, what should God's people do about this war in which the Bible states DOES exist? Is there anything that we mere mortals can do to successfully combat the Satanic influences we so readily see in today's society?..... YES!! The keys to success in this conflict are found in God's Word!! BEFORE we dive into this subject, there are a few things we as God's children need to know so that we truly can be victorious in this ages-long war with Satan and his henchmen. FIRST, We must recognize that there IS, in fact, a battle for our lives & souls going on. Some folks discount the reality of this conflict. They say that the actions of demons are no more than mere "The Big, Bad Witch is gonna get YOU" fairy tales. THEN there's the other extreme wherein some conjure up wild speculations about demons & their goals so as to attempt to nullify what the Bible says about this war in which we find ourselves. BOTH extremes need to be avoided if we as God's True Children are to be on His Winning Side!! #1. There ARE (& always have been) "Ministers of Satan" & they ARE ALIVE & WELL on planet Earth! A cursory reading of both the OT & NT give us clear examples of Satan's oppression of & ultimate defeat by his demons. Look at both the Egyptian & Philistine rulers & people. Both Pharaoh & Goliath sought to first oppress & ultimately defeat God's People! ... BUT, God enabled His Children to be victorious & defeat Satan's forces! Moses, Joshua & David were Champions for Christ, & we too can do the same....IF we are willing to join in His Army & fight against Satan & his henchmen. Ephesians 6:11-17 describes the armor that God has given us to win, + praying to God ensures us that real victory CAN BE ours, ... But only if we allow God to win the battles for us. ..... When Jesus physically walked on this same earth as we find ourselves doing, He too was tempted by Satan himself. Try as he did, Satan lost in each conflict he imposed on Jesus. Jesus defeated him by quoting, "It is Written...." and well not only CAN, but we MUST defeat Satan's attempts to oppress & ultimately destroy our lives & our testimonies of the Grace of Jesus Christ!
