I showed you Exodus 32:5. Show us how Aaron did not say what he said.

I never said that he did not say what he said in that verse.

Show me any proof from Scripture that they actually worshiped Yahweh--which is what my poll question is. My poll question is not about whether he intended that they would worship Yahweh or not.

Again, we seem to be arguing two sides of the same coin. There is no argument that the actual worship was not of YHWH, but of a god made by men. This does not mean that Aaron intended his man-centered attempt to be a worship of YHWH since he clearly makes that claim in Exodus 32:5. Do you deny that Aaron makes that claim?
The error of free will doctrine and Aaron's man-centered attempt to worship God by his personal imaginings is a parallel of those who insist they are autonomous and thus get to decide how they get saved and how they worship YHWH. Humans have a hard time letting God be the Sovereign Lord who chooses.

I cannot figure out from these two sentences what claim you think that Aaron was actually making. The first sentence does not make sense to me.

My goodness...I gave you the Bible reference. I gave you the commentaries in this Bible reference. Figure it out. At this point it seems you are simply obfuscating.

Remember, "baal", in its various forms & pronunciations, meant "lord".

Look up what Hebrew word is used in Exodus 32:5 that the translators use as Lord. The word is...YHWH.

Well, the image for Baal had been a bovine with U-shaped horns for awhile before Aaron's calf.

Who cares. What is the Hebrew word Aaron used in Exodus 32:5 when he called the people to worship?
    Hint: It's YHWH

Again, God makes it clear they substituted God for their man-centered idol, whom they named YHWH. There is no argument there. They thought they were worshipping YHWH. God says they weren't.

Is that any different from the myriads of people who call themselves Christians (or Baptists) but have a man-centered theology that says they are the ones who chose God? I will state that a person who promotes their free will as the means by which they were saved is no better than the Israelites who made a calf and called it God. Both demand that they control God and worship the god of their own creation.

The Israelis knew God didn't want any statues or images made that were supposed to look like Him, especially since they didn't know what He looks like, except that He's daid, "Let's make man in our own image."

And free will is apparent. Otherwise, why have God's word, preachers, etc? Why did Jesus send His followers to "make disciples in all nations", etc? nIf they were predestinated, they'd automatically become disciples. They wouldn't hafta be made into disciples.

Moses' statement to God is noteworthy concerning how he related what the people had done:

Exodus 32:31 And Moses returned unto the Lord, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.

Obviously, Moses knew exactly what the idol was that they made. From that vantage point, we must note carefully that Moses said that they had made "gods of gold." It is clear from this statement that my referring to this incident as the Golden Calf Incident (GCI) is correct.

Not at all. I believe the Israelis knew not to make images of/to the real God.

Psalm 106:19 They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.

20 Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass.

    21 They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;

I wonder how people who had forgotten Yahweh were somehow supposedly still thinking that they were worshiping Him.

God told Moses before he went back down and informed Moses the people were worshipping an idol.
However, Aaron, acted and said the idol was YHWH.
What we get from this is that humans can easily go against God and create their own version of worship that God hates because the human creation is not worshipping the Creator, but instead worships the created.

You are ignoring the point in Exodus 32:5.
