    IT IS JUST MY OPINION (But you know I am right)
    Any preacher, pastor, evangelist, who is a vegan should quit the ministry. I have known those who do not eat meat or animal products such as eggs and cheese. They always look hungry and ill. They will not eat meat but they will eat veggies. Remember, the veggies that they eat are probably fertilized with the poop of an animal. Think about that.
    What should you do if you find out your pastor is a vegan? Simple. Find another church. This is just my opinion, but you know I am right

    I don't know. The entire conversation would be useful, maybe. I see nothing incompatible with a Vegan diet and being a good Christian. But many practitioners of a Vegan diet are also involved in new age and metaphysical garbage.

    It does not disqualify a man from being a pastor, but it does disqualify a man from being Baptist as one well known Baptist distinctive is a fine appreciation for fried chicken and pulled pork.

    He could be a Lutheran, United Church of Christ, even a Calvinist Young Restless and Reformed pastor. He would never survive a good Fundamental Baptist potluck. Man, I miss that.

    I must say that I certainly have enjoyed my share and more of good dinners by fine cooks of pot luck

    I've been lucky enough to get the pot belly as reward!

    Thinking of using the "s" word that my grandkids always say I shouldn't use.

    STUPID

    Vegan is stupid. My wife, an alternative health doctor, said she NEVER saw a "healthy" vegan. God gave every green herb/veg to Adam, but by the time of Noah God added meat to human diet.

    But as to the question - who would want a pastor who makes stupid decisions, especially for his own health? Being vegan does NOT DISQUALIFY but it does make you question a lot of the thinking of such a person. BTW, I would have no problem with a pastor who opted for ANY personal food choices EXCEPT for the biblical prohibition against gluttony. And yes, that would probably involve half the Baptist churches I know :)

    No pastor I've ever met has a problem with gluttony. Most, however, do have thyroid problems as an excuse for being 400 lbs.

    Or so I'm told

    The most gluttonous individuals I’ve ever known aren’t fat. They eat and don’t have a weight issue because of their genetics, age, and metabolism, etc. And though many who are overweight may be gluttonous, it’s far more often because of the inverse of the same issues.

    I was slim and couldn’t gain weight beyond a certain maximum for decades and was a huge glutton. I curbed that with a lifestyle of biblical fasting (recommended). Now that I’m older, I’m on an OMAD (one meal a day) plan with specific content. I’m heavier than I’ve ever been.

    Just don’t leave all the skinny folks out when addressing gluttony. It’s a universal issue of the lust of the flesh.

    Check out trendy Calvinist conference 'T4G' promoting the Vegan cuisine of its $99 meal plan (2 lunches, 2 dinners):

    Menu - Together for the Gospel

    Lots of (a certain sort of) Southern Baptists flock to this conference.

    Pastor 9Mark Dever of DC's Capitol Hill Baptist Church, who founded the T4G ('Together 4 the Gospel') Conference back in 2006, hyping the convenience and fellowship potential of the catered meals add-on:

    he beat me for the world chess championships at the Youth Center in 8th grade (he was in 9th)

    I’ve been in counseling since

    it’s hard to tell which of us grew up in the worse church. They were both horrid
