A really good sermon(link to audio and video below) I was blessed by God to hear in person this past Sunday morning at Grace Baptist Church of Ruston by Kenny Dyess, with whom I have become good friends with over the past six months since the Lord led to me to that fellowship of believers. He was filling in for our pastor had tested positive for COVID. I was messaging him after the 49ers lost last night(he is a 49ers fan) and he said he could have preached on Sunday but he stayed away so as not to expose anybody to it.

The sermon is based on Ezekiel 36:1-16.

LOL, a sermon addressing the supposed faults of other servants of God, but nothing to feed the sheep.

His false gospel says there is no opportunity to choose to believe, to respond to the good news. Thus his gospel becomes the bad news, you have no opportunity to choose Christ nor help lead your loved ones to Christ.

He calls the actual gospel an abomination. He calls those outside of Calvinist doctrine cults.

@Van, there was plenty of gospel there for God's sheep.

The Devil's sandwich is to sandwich a falsehood between two truths. We are to preach the true gospel, not an adulterated one.

    1) Exhaustive Determinism is false.
    2) God not desiring all people to be saved is false.
    3) Total Spiritual Inability is false.
    4) Born anew people not earning rewards (recompense) for faithful service is false.

Hello Ken, Looks like we have some who continue to guess, rather than come to truth....

False teachers run from the truth and hoist diversions to hide falsehood...

“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will know them by their fruits."
    - Jesus (Matthew 7)

"Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: sexual immorality, impurity, indecent behavior, idolatry, witchcraft, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus crucified the flesh with its passions and desires." - Paul (Galatians 5)

"But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor." - Galatians 6:4

    1) Jesus teaches TSI is false doctrine, Luke 10:13
    2) Scripture teaches election for salvation is through or by way of faith in the truth, thus a conditional election. 2 Thessalonians 2:13
    3) Scripture teaches Christ died as a ransom for all, thus even those heading for swift destruction were "bought." 1 Timothy 2:6, 2 Peter 2:1
    4) Scripture teaches those entering the kingdom can be prevented by false doctrine, thus the necessary grace is resistible, Matthew 23:13.

    Matthew 23:13 (NASB)
“But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you shut the kingdom of heaven in front of people; for you do not enter it yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.

Here are some of the so-called "explanations" of Matthew 23:13.

    1) Entering the kingdom does not prove they were seeking God. :)
    2) The people were not really entering. :)
    3) They were delayed from entering, but sometime later they entered. :)

And here is the obvious truth:
    1) Those entering the kingdom were seeking God.
    2) Jesus indicates they were in the process of entering, probably referring to putting their faith in their understanding of the gospel.
    3) We should believe what scripture says, not nullify it by inventing an outcome not found in scripture.

    TSI = TSI

    Luke 10:13
“Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that occurred in you had occurred in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

How could the people of Chorazin and Bethsaida respond if they saw miracles if they had not ability to respond to spiritual things?

@Van God's elect do have a reward: Genesis15:1 After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”
