Myself and a friend went to preach at a well known abortion mill today. We've been trying to get things moving on this in our church for a while now and today was the first day we went.
It was mostly a getting our feet wet, picking the best spots, finding strategic point to put up our signs etc.
We stayed out for about 2-2.5 hours. I stood on the street corner holding up a large sign with a very graphic image on it along with Matthew 25:45, as well as holding up an "we will adopt your baby" sign.
Not much interaction to report - someone gave me some sign language indicating that I was number one.
We had an encounter with a security guard who tried to intimidate us, I called him to repent and place his faith in Christ. As a side note the guard has lived in the basement of that hell house for years.
My friend set up a loudspeaker and preached the gospel on 3 separate occasions: the first two times directed towards the parents, the last time directed towards the staff.
A few brothers in Christ came to talk with us and encourage us.
The most memorable and sad part was a younger Hispanic man in a nice new Cadillac pulled into the drive - I attempted to show him my adoption sign but he would not look over. Approximately 10 minutes later he drove out of the lot with a young Hispanic woman beside him leaning back in the seat as if she didn't want to be seen. They were stopped for around thirty seconds by me waiting to turn, I saw the young woman look over at my adoption sign and the man also turned briefly, and they sped off. I assume the man dropped his girlfriend off to have an abortion, but didn't have the courage and/or concern to stay while they murdered his child.
I'm sure I will have more stories to share in the future, but for now this is all.

God bless any action to try to reach "victims" of this hate. Had the state director of right to life in church Sunday and some positive news in Wisconsin.

(all new to me since no abortions in Wyoming)

The mind boggles at 60 million dead from surgical abortion.

However, considering the mechanism of oral contraceptives (now mostly chemical abortion) the total number could be in the trillions.

Very good point, in addition to the fact that abortion clinics aren't required in many states to even report the number of abortions they perform.

No. Our chief goal is to call the women to repentance and faith in Christ while pleading with them to not murder their child, the atheist would absolutely oppose this. It is wonderful when a woman walks away from the clinic choosing, not to murder her child, but it is equally heartbreaking if she walks away without hearing the gospel. The basis for our ministry is rooted in the bible, God says that abortion is murder, and it is from God's word that we derive our morality. The atheist has no basis for why it is wrong to murder, right and wrong in the atheist worldview is subjective. Our ministry is also an outreach of our church too, and they would not have us partner with atheists either.
I'm glad that there are atheists who are against abortion and work against it, but the most important thing is the power of the word and the gospel, and this is what these women need who come to the clinic with a sinful desire to murder their children.

They could always come for the abortion part - as moral support -
and while there - they might hear the gospel

    Amen.

As Christians we are not called to preach against abortion. We are called to preach the gospel (which includes standing for godliness....e.g., against abortion).

I am also glad some of the World is against killing children. But, like you, I believe muffling our voice by joining the World is counterproductive. Kingdom work must be accomplished by kingdom ways.

Where do you get the idea we are not to preach against sin?

I agree with most of your comment Jon, however, Christians are called to preach against sin. Abortion is murder, and no murderer will enter heaven, it is an abomination to God. That said, telling people that without preaching the gospel is unhelpful.
