Take that first step in Faith.

Whatever your situation and need, step out in trust of Jesus care and provision.

Many pray for something, but then don’t take that first step.

Roof damaged and leaking? Have no money for it? Trust Jesus and hand it over. Then step out and get an estimate. That little step.

Wife at home hears of huge disaster at the mine where her husband is working, hands it over to Jesus and makes dinner for husband for when he returns safely that night.

Our faith is like the small offering of loaves and fish, Jesus gets ahold of it and transforms it into huge blessing.

The more you trust Jesus, the more He will bless you. “The measure you measure, will be measured unto you “

“And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.”

Struggling single mother loses her job, buys a celebratory dinner for her kids with the little money she has, because she trusts Jesus has a better job waiting for her.

Jesus can’t ignore Faith like that, it burns a hole through His wallet.

Whatever your problem, tell Jesus to take over, then take that first step in Faith.

Not trying to be contrary, however, God cannot be manipulated. He can, and does, ignore requests asked for in faith.

We pray for God’s will in our lives. Roof has a leak? pray, and then get an extra job to pay for repairs

Accident at the mine? pray and then go through the contact protocols the company has in place to get information.

Lose your job? Pray and cook supper for the kids, but don’t celebrate losing your job, as that might confuse your children about the value of work.

The “name it and claim it” doctrine leads to all kinds of confusion among good people. It almost always leads to “well, if only you had more faith God would have given you what you asked for.”

I actually heard a preacher tell a man in a wheelchair that the only reason he was still paralyzed was because he didn’t have enough faith.

peace to you

One of the hardest things for man to grasp is living by Divine Providence, we lost it in the Great Fall and Eden was barred from us.

It no longer comes naturally to us. Fallen man achieves everything by force of his will, the sweat of his brow.

When you abandon a matter to Jesus, you are leaving it to His Will and His solution.

And no, God never ignores prayers of Faith and Trust, He can’t, not because we deserve it, but His Goodness and Love is such that it bores a hole in His Heart. His prescription maybe different from what we expect, but He never ignores us if we ask in Faith to take over.

“Sir, if you want to, you can make me clean.”

Part of the fall was forgetting that God is Goodness and Love Itself and He wants to heal us. Not just small stuff like leprosy, cancer or paralysis, but the real serious spiritual diseases that endanger our souls.

Sometimes the proud man needs a good dose of cancer, it can cure him of his true affliction.

Atheists ask ‘ Where was God when the hurricane hit? ‘ God was in the people that came and helped.

News headlines, like: “ Thousands of volunteers are working day and night “ “ A huge outpouring of donations, food and blankets are coming in “
“ The generosity and love from the community has been overwhelming “

Sometimes a good disaster can prevent the hearts of men growing cold, the worst malady of all.

God doesn’t ignore prayers of faith. We ignore the prayers of others of us, and then wonder where the blockage to our prayers is. Then come to the very wrongful conclusion that God is ignoring us. Like he is couched on a cloud eating grapes while we suffer. No, that’s not God.

If you want your prayers answered, answer the pleas of others. If you want your prayers answered swiftly, answer the pleas of others swiftly.
The measure you measure, will be measured unto you.

There is a river in Eden, it flows out, it is not meant to be a stagnant puddle. We can not properly tend this garden in our heart without this river to give it Life. A whole menagerie of virtues are nurtured here, and they are all dependant on the river flowing from the fountain of Deity, The Divine Will.

“ Thy Will be done on Earth “ when we say this, it is not just in a general sense. It also means you abandon your will completely, leaving your particular situation to His solution and judgement.

This is how we return to the first order of Creation, to Eden, where God’s Will was done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

This is the time of the new Heavens and Earth that we have prayed for to come for 2000 years in The Lord’s Prayer.

In this Holy Era coming, man will not be operating by his own Will guided by grace. He will be operating in The Divine Will, connected to the raw power of the fountain of Deity that gives animation to God Himself, His Holy Divine Will.

That is how far Adam fell in the beginning, living sinless and perfect in The Holy Divine Will, to way down into the sinful badlands of the human will.

So we continue to pray for this Kingdom of the Divine Will to come to us, where God’s Holy Will is done in us as it is in Heaven. Then Earth is transformed. Then man will be restored to the full image and likeness of God, shining to the awe of angels, this nothing creature given this wondrous inheritance of all in his father’s house.

I may have digressed a little in this post.

Here is the problem I see.
God says "I know the plans I have for you..."
But, our prayers and actions can often be "I know what I want you to do, now make it so." That kind of prayer is not faith, it is demanding and selfish.
Romans 8 tells us that there are times when we cannot pray, yet the Spirit prays for us with groans that cannot be uttered.

That’s right. The perfect prayer is one of total abandonment to God’s Will as in the Lord’s Prayer.
As in the other of the Lords prayers in the Garden.

“ Take this Cup from me” but then “ Not my will be done, but yours”

The perfect prayer ends with abandonment of our will, and truly desiring God’s Holy Will be done in the matter.

God’s Will is Holy, Perfect, Right, Just and Good. A man who abandons his human will for the Divine Will truly has sold everything to purchase the pearl of great price.

We hand over this dangerous, defective, busted arsed thing that causes us to sin and suffer, and He gives us a draught from the fountain of Deity Itself.

God wants more for us than we can even imagine to ask for. Allow that and say “ However, not my will, but yours be done.”

Scripture please that tell us that prayers of faith “bore a hole in His heart”

What you are claiming is that a woman or man manipulates God into action by their prayers. It’s not that God is sovereign or working all things according to His purpose and plan, but rather God is waiting to be “moved” by His creation into action.

Jesus said to ask the Father in His name. That doesn’t mean put the words “in Jesus name” at the end of your prayer and you’ll “burn a hole in God’s heart” and He must give you what you ask for.

It means ask for anything in the sphere of the cause of Christ in earth. When our will aligns with God’s will, He will give us everything we need to accomplish our purpose for the cause of Christ.

You say God is not able ignore prayers of faith.

2 Samuel 12, tells us King David fasted and prayed for 7 days for God to spare his son’s life. David, a man after God’s own heart, prayed in faith and God ignored his prayers.

In 2 Corinthians 12, Paul repeatedly prayed that God remove his “thorn in the flesh”. Paul, a man who arguably walked as close to God as anyone who ever lived, even being transported into the third heaven to receive direct revelation from God, prayed in faith and God ignored his prayer.

No where do these passages suggest a “hole was burned into God’s heart, making Him incapable of resisting answering their prayers.

Your belief is unbiblical.

That’s right. You aren’t manipulating God if you make your request and then finish by asking His Will to be done in the matter.

But the other idea that you said God ignores prayers made with Faith isn’t right. Faith assumes you believe God Will do something, not just ignore you.

“The pain of the wicked is severe, but faithful love surrounds the one who trusts the Lord.”

Love can’t ignore a trust put in it. It can’t dude. It can not ignore or betray a trust put in it.

Well, I guess you are nuancing a little now. I use “ignore” as meaning God doesn’t have to grant your prayer even if said with faith , which seems to have been your point when you said He can’t ignore it.

thanks for the conversation

peace to you
