In his sermon (available on you tube), the World, the Flesh, and the Devil, in a moment of humor while preaching truth, Dr. Baucham, trying to illustrate the human condition of total depravity as a result of Adam's fall, said of babies: they're vipers, in diapers....they're so cute, no, they're not....the reason God made them so small, is so they won't kill you....and the reason God made them so cute, is so you won't kill them.

For saying this, Dr. Vodie has been severely criticized and his teaching labeled as dangerous to babies.

Hitler was once a baby. Someone once thought he was a cute one and laughed at his baby antics. Nobody'd expect he'd grow up to be a murderous anti-semite.

Jeffrey Dahmer was once a baby. Someone in his life once looked lovingly at his cute smiling baby face. Who would've thought he'd grow up to be a cannibalistic sadist who murdered young men.

Or a brother I know, who traveled to my birth country to help establish churches and teach and preach, well-liked among his peers, respected in his theology, who adopted five or six other children in addition to those he already had. He is now currently in prison for sexual molestation of minors.

Yes.
We were all of us born vipers wrapped up in diapers, cute, but sin-laden in our cuteness. Kicking, burping, drooling, smiling, but with a flesh dead in sin, and trespasses.

"But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved)
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them" Ephesians 2:4-10

Primitive Baptist Elder Gus Harter?
yes, and for the record, I do not believe it.
At his age, he would not be able to stand the pressure of an interrogation by police. his mindset would likely be "I'd just say yes and get it over with".
Secondly, he had had opportunity to molest any of his adopted daughters before the two who complained came along, at a much earlier time, when he was younger.
It's like saying "the haunting began 20 years later".
But God knows the truth, and even that sin, if he did do it, has been covered by the blood before happening.
And, one might say, "no you're just being grateful for the work he did in your birth country".
To which I would say, no.
In fact, I was against any for of missionism from any quarter.
