because on salvation it is HERETICAL!
Not sure if I would go so far as to say it is heretical but I would say that it has some serious errors.

because on salvation it is HERETICAL!
God COMMANDS ALL PEOPLE EVERYWHERE to repent, and it MEANS exactly what it SAYS!
You like to build doctrine from parables; did you notice there was no command given to evangelize the tares?

What about a Jew that knows and worships God but does not know the Son in a Christian sense, can he repent?... Is his repentance any different than mine?... Brother Glen
Btw... In reference to what Kentucky said in post #29
Does not say that. Repentance and. . . .and that REPENTANCE FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS should be proclaimed in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem (Luke 24:47)

Like you, for YEARS I claimed the errors of the theology. I finally realized I was wrong. You go on as if you cannot be wrong. No, I am not but I do follow someone that is. But even though I am fallible I can still see the errors in calvinistic theology.
That fact that you can not or rather will not says a great deal about you.
In case you missed it, I AGREE WITH THIS.God commanded all people to repent, not just the elect
Reference please? Where is this coming from? I did an exact quotation search in my Logos Library, and I assure you, I have all of the relevant published confessions etc, and it did not return a result, not a single one.thus the following Calvinist doctrine is unbiblical nonsense:
The command to repent was directed not to all men but to the men whom He regenerated already at a given moment, because He has given them the ability to repent, which the unregenerate, dead in sins and trespasses, do not possess.
Who claimed that?Calvinism claims scripture (all people everywhere to repent) does not mean what it says.
a PARABLE is an ILLUSTRATION
are you saying that these are LIES?
2 Son of man, put forth a riddle, and speak a parable unto the house of Israel; Ezek 17
2 I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings of old, Ps 78:2
4 I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp. Ps 49
25 These things have I spoken unto you in dark sayings: the hour cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in dark sayings, but shall tell you plainly of the Father.
29 His disciples say, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no dark saying. Jn 16
...only to those that He expounds the meaning to.
34 and without a parable spake he not unto them: but privately to his own disciples he expounded all things. Mk 4
10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
11 And he answered and said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. Mt 13
What a stupid irrelevant question.
Verse 14Where is the mystery in the Parable of the Wedding Guests in Matthew 22? Jesus says here that certain people were INVITED to attend, but they made excuses are REFUSED the INVITATION, Jesus then says, to INVITE everyone who is found, both GOOD and BAD, which is the entire human race!
What is the difficulty in seeing Jesus say that the Gospel of Salvation is for the entire human race? Was Jesus not being truthful in what He says here?
The oldest Greek manuscript for Luke, the P75, reads, "and that repentance FOR the forgiveness of sins". As does the Diatessaron which is the middle of the 2nd century, and originally in Greek
So does the NASB, ESV, NIV, AmpBible, CSB, NAB, NET, etc
I know what heretical means and although I do not agree with calvinism I would not call it that.what do you think "heretical" means?
So throughout 99.6% of the evidence for 0.3% of the evidence. Brilliant.
So what is the problem many are called, right? You agree with that I should think. And few are chosen, right? We can agree on that. Those that are chosen by God are those that have trusted in His son for salvation. Remember it is by the Grace of God through faith.Verse 14
That is not what it says. Those that are chosen by God are those that have trusted in His son for salvation.
Which is the gift of God. Your unbiblical view leaves it in man's hand. Humanist theology.Remember it is by the Grace of God through faith.
