Define what "God's Pure Word" actually means.

NOTE: - this will be closely monitored thread - stay on subject.

Statements such as "only the KJV is "God's Pure Word" would not be an acceptable response
Be sure to use reputable sources.

God's pure word proceeds from God in understood relevant languages.

It can be in a still small voice or in written form.

It was originally in now extinct manuscripts which had been copied accurately into ancient Greek manuscripts for ancient men to translate into English.

This is my statement of faith, which I am a reputable source as a teacher of the Bible since 1980.

So that would apply to MOST English translations today. Except for the still small voice part. Are you suggesting there is also special revelation today which constitutes God's pure word?

The pure Word of God is, first of all, in the mind of God Himself.
"For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven" (Ps. 119:89). Note that it does not say "on the earth" but "in Heaven."

On earth, God has made us, as priests, the caretakers of His Word. I believe that we believers are tasked with the earthly preservation God's Word: textual criticism, translation, printing, memorizing, preaching, obeying, etc. From that perspective, the Word of God is pure, as preserved in the Byzantine textform (Greek), and the Masoretic text (Hebrew). "And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen" (Rev. 1:6). "And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth" (Rev. 5:10). In the OT dispensations, the priests were the ones tasked with preserving God's Word. So now we believers are, as priests of Christ.

I have been a preacher, Bible teacher, missionary, Bible translator, etc., since 1970, so I am a more reputable source than Truther/Curly, by his own standards. :Biggrin

A thought from the NLT (to focus more on the thoughts than the details of the words ... broad brush time):

    Matthew 13:21-23
    • 21 But since they don't have deep roots, they don't last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God's word.
    • 22 The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God's word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced.
    • 23 The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God's word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!"
    Mark 4:14, Mark 4:17-18, Mark 4:20
    • 14 The farmer plants seed by taking God's word to others.
    • 17 But since they don't have deep roots, they don't last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God's word.
    • 18 The seed that fell among the thorns represents others who hear God's word,
    • 20 And the seed that fell on good soil represents those who hear and accept God's word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!"
    Luke 8:11, Luke 8:15
    • 11 "This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is God's word.
    • 15 And the seeds that fell on the good soil represent honest, good-hearted people who hear God's word, cling to it, and patiently produce a huge harvest.

God's pure word is a "seed". As a seed, it must be planted. It is meant to both be planted and to grow. The universal goal of all seeds is to yield their fruit ... to produce more seeds.

So is it with God's pure word; it is planted, grows and yields a harvest ... that is how we know it was God's pure word.

According to your definition just about all of them. Copied from ancient manuscripts faithfully into English. So that would be ESV, NASB, LEB, KJV, NKJV, and more.

It's all KJVO Cultists know how to do, deflect, deflect, because they know their position doesn't have a leg to stand on.

I watched the transition from the 70's until now with my own eyes.

Now, almost nobody has scriptural convictions about a specific Bible they claim is God's pure word.

YOu didn't answer the question. How do they counter the KJV? And the pure word was the originals.

You still have not answered the question. How do they COUNTER the KJV? How do they COUNTER, God's word? You keep spouting off your cult's talking points but give no evidence.

and like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation,

Here scripture defines at least part of God's pure (refined) word as the milk (fundamentals of the gospel.)
