One thought, for the purpose of your study, is that we are Priests in this world, acting on Christ's behalf to the lost world. That might be a good avenue of study to include in this.

1Pe 2:5
you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

1Pe 2:9
But you are A CHOSEN PEOPLE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR GOD'S OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

Two quick points, we are a "holy" priesthood, thus comprised only of those born anew, having undergo the "washing of regeneration." And, we are "royal" priesthood, indicating we are part of our King's (Jesus Christ) court.

Our lives and ministries are to be sacred sacrifices, as that is the work of "priests." This phase of our lives as ambassadors of Christ includes our progressive sanctification, where we strive to mirror Christ's holiness, and His sacrificial love for the lost.

You're weird.
I must be weird also, thought he had some interesting points.

Don't know about the rest on here but I still sin a little bit every once in a while, well maybe a lot a lot of the time. I pray that Jesus is standing before the Father as my advocate reminding the Father, I died for that.

I do not believe we are presently priest but are, in Christ, unto priesthood. Chosen to be priest according to the order of Melchisedec.

Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed 1 Cor 15:51.52

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. V 54 <<< I believe that to be the order of Melchisedec

Romans 6:9 knowing that Christ, having been raised up out of the dead, doth no more die, death over him hath no more lordship;
Acts 13:30,33.34 and God did raise him out of the dead, God hath in full completed this to us their children, having raised up Jesus, as also in the second Psalm it hath been written, My Son thou art -- I to-day have begotten thee. 'And that He did raise him up out of the dead, no more to return to corruption, he hath said thus -- I will give to you the faithful kindnesses of David;

So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee. As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. Hebrews 5:5,6

Paul, an apostle -- not from men, nor through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who did raise him out of the dead -- Gal 1:1
who through him do believe in God, who did raise out of the dead, and glory to him did give, so that your faith and hope may be in God. 1 Peter 1:21

and if the Spirit of Him who did raise up Jesus out of the dead doth dwell in you, He who did raise up the Christ out of the dead shall quicken also your dying bodies, through His Spirit dwelling in you.
for ye did not receive a spirit of bondage again for fear, but ye did receive a spirit of adoption in which we cry, 'Abba -- Father.'
And not only so, but also we ourselves, having the first-fruit of the Spirit, we also ourselves in ourselves do groan, adoption expecting -- the redemption of our body; Romans 8:11,15,23

At the coming of the Lord?

He is, Percho, we have God's Word on that:

Hebrews 3:1
King James Version
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

Hebrews 4:14
King James Version
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

Hebrews 4:15
New American Standard Bible
For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things just as we are, yet without sin.

Hebrews 8:1
King James Version
Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

Be of good courage, brother, we have a HIgh Priest Who advocates for us in our weakness.

God bless.
