The intentional fuel shortage

I just watched a statement, to the Service Transportation Board, given by Chamic Konar (not sure if I spelled that correctly) he is the CEO for Pilot Flying J. If you do not know who they are they are a chain of truck stops and gas station across the US. According to him they operate the largest network of "Travel Center" ( truck stops) in the US. They account approximately 20% of the nations diesel supply in the country. They were recently notified, by Union Pacific the rail company that ships their fuel, that they were required to reduce shipments by 26% and then after that they were notified they were required to reduce them by 50% or face embargoes.

This mandate will cause shortages likely sideline trucks and reduce trucking capacity. This will reduce trucking capacity by 5 million miles. Diesel is running 10 to 15% below what it has in the last 5 years at it lowest point.

The spelling is "Shameek Konar."

They were recently notified, by Union Pacific the rail company that ships their fuel, that they were required to reduce shipments by 26% and then after that they were notified they were required to reduce them by 50% or face embargoes.
Is there a video clip or a transcript of these statements?

The tone of the title of this thread makes it sound like there is a massive conspiracy to cause a fuel shortage. Certainly, the consequences of Putin's invasion of Ukraine and a roaring economy has severely tightened fuel supplies. But the rapidly escalating fuel costs in the US are easily explained by free market factors:
  • The loss of Russian crude oil on the market
  • The loss of refined fuel products from Russia, especially diesel and jet fuel
  • US refinery capacity is well over 90% (it was 92% in April and rising)
  • Loss of refining capacity since 2020 (3 million barrels per day worldwide, with 1 million barrels per day in the US), including Shell's Convent (240,000 barrels per day) and Phillips 66's Alliance (255,000 barrels per day) refineries -- both in Louisiana -- because of worn-out infrastructure and multiple years of hurricane damage
  • Diesel fuel is more highly refined than gasoline, taking more refinery capacity and incurring higher costs to bring to market

So anyway back to the op The people who are having the fuel shipped (implies there is fuel to ship) are saying that they are inhibited by the demand on them not to ship else they face embargo consequences.

Again, do you have a video, transcript, or document that makes this allegation?

The petroleum industry is not trying to cut its own neck. There is, at present, no actual documentation showing a mandate by the government to the railways, stating the railways must reduce the amount of fuel they ship. Moreso, much of the fuel is sent via pipeline so while there are tank cars shipping fuel, there is also a vast pipeline of fuel being transported.
The idea that a government coverup of fuel supply chain reduction must be verified by actual data, which the OP has not provided.

Well you can personally take it anyway you want to. I am relaying the statements made by the CEO.
You wrote, "I just watched a statement, to the Service Transportation Board..."

Did you "watch" the "statement" in person or on television? If on television, which network? Also, was the "statement" couched in an opinion piece as a clip, or was it part of an entire hearing such as one might see on CSPAN?

That information will help everyone understand what is being said and who is "requiring" Union Pacific to reduce transport of vital fuels.

Believe him or not.
There's nothing to "believe" yet, unless you expect everyone to mindlessly take vague and sinister allegations against unnamed entities as fact.

Your evasiveness makes the whole thing extremely suspicious. Why can't/won't you provide the most basic information?

Naturally, the Dem operatives on the BB will cry foul when the real policies of their pro-abortion, pro-Sodom and anti-American heroes are exposed...

But it would help if you would say where you heard this.

LOL, :Roflmao:Roflmao:Roflmao, you are so full of straw my good man.
Feel free to believe an undocumented assertion with no support. Feel free to declare how horrible the world is and how fear filed you are of the enemy. Feel free to keep wandering in the wilderness because you think the giants are too big.

We who trust wholely in the Commander of the Lord's Army will keep trying to encourage you to look to Christ and not to the plans of men.

There is no doubt you would complain about Jesus eating with sinners and tax collector's. I am grounded in God's word. I have no fear or concern for the politics of a godless world.

You posted great info. The resident Biden supporters pounced and began their typical Democrat misinformation spin attack.

First, what or who is argus media?
Second, Union Pacific is stating that their rail lines are so packed that they are trying to find ways to unpack their rail lines. It has nothing to do with any conspiracy.

Asking for more information somehow equals a “misinformation spin attack” in your world?

That’s weird.
Note, that the OP was too lazy to find any source. It took me awhile to find the one article. Most were articles about Pilot Flying J executives being indicted for fraud.
