The Holy Spirit in The Book of Hebrews

The divine Spirit is presented in the text of Hebrews about 7 times, (1)Hebrews 2:4, (2)3:7, (3)6:4,(4)9:8, (5)9:14, (6)10:15 and (7)10:29.
1) The Holy Spirit provides signs and wonders, miracles and gifts as testimony for God. Here we see the agency of the Holy Spirit acting in accordance with the will of the Father and Son.
2) The Holy Spirit "voices" the words of God. Again, acting as agent for the Father and Son.
3) The Holy Spirit provides God's revelation, and those receiving that enlightenment are partakers of the Holy Spirit.
4) The Holy Spirit's revelation was incomplete prior to the incarnation of Christ.
5) Christ's sinless life was through the eternal Spirit, either referring to the Second or Third Person of the Trinity.
6) The Holy Spirit is said to have inspired statements quoted from the Old Testament. This again seems to be an example of the Holy Spirit acting as the agent of the Father and Son.
7) The Spirit of Grace appears to refer to the Second or First Person of the trinity.
Thus the use of the Greek word translated "Spirit" appears to be used by the author of Hebrews for each of the three Persons of the Trinity.

This my take on the Holy Spirit... I look at the three and one Godhead this way... God the Father is the creator, God the Son is the Savior... And the Holy Spirit by his work alone (without any help from any created man) is the regenerator... But this is important... They all work in unison to save even one, given to the Son by his Father to save... Giving ALL Glory to God and none to man... IOW... The Living Gospel saves unconditionally and it is the written gospel to instruct those who are... Brother Glen

The vision of the lampstand, which is the lampstand of the Holy Place in the Tabernacle of the Wilderness, shows the lampstand fed directly by pipes from the Olive Tree, the olive oil, representing the Holy Ghost. Zerubabbel was the governor of Isreal returned from exile charged with the rebuilding of God's House.
This is exactly what Christ was referring to when He said, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. John 2:19 . Not by might or by power of the flesh, but by the Holy Ghost.
Keep studying the Trinity. You'll be a Calvinist yet!

Hi, thanks for your imput.
You say that "God the Father is the creator". In Hebrews 1:10-12, God the Father uses Psalm 102:25-27, in an address to Jesus Christ, as the Creator of the entire universe
You also say, "God the Son is the Savior", and yet in Titus chapter 1, we have in verses 1-3, the Father as Saviour, and in verse 4, Jesus Christ as Saviour.
Yet you have said that you have spent 40 years studying the trinity.... I have read many theologians that have done the same... Lets just say in 40 years you dabbled in it... All have knowledge of the Trinity in our fallible way... Do they FULLY UNDERSTAND IT?... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!... I heard a preacher make this comment... If Jesus prayed unto his Father and Jesus and the Father are the same... Then Jesus was praying to himself?... Now chew on that awhile, I don't understand the trinity and neither do you... 1 Corinthians 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

What we know about the God of the Bible is from the Bible itself. While God is indeed a Mystery, there is much that He has revealed to use in His Word. I have never said that the Father and Jesus Christ are one and the same Person. I don't know where you get this from. Jesus prayed to the Father, Who is a distinct Person from Him.
Your reference to 1 Cor 15:24-28, refers only to the Kingdom of Christ till the End time as Mediator, and not to the Eternal Kingdom. Revelation 15:11, and 22:1-3 are very clear, that the Eternal Kingdom is where the Father and Jesus Christ Reign JOINTLY.
Jesus made sure to emphasis that the Holy Spirit will be with us and be God to us, just as he was to the Apostles while on the earth!
I do not see the father as being the same person as the Holy Spirit, but that both are Spirits in essence!

This is certainly true in some verses, but not in others. The Persons of the Trinity support each other.

Both father and Holy Spirit are spirit in essence

John 3:8 among others uses the phrase "born of the Spirit." Since we have been spiritually born (conceived) as "sinners" we have been born spiritually dead or in a separated from God state. Thus when we are born anew, we have been re-born spiritually alive, united with God (in or within Christ). We are regenerated, made alive together with Christ by the Spirit. Here, with reference in Romans 6:3, we see that the Spirit baptizes or immerses us into Christ, when unites us with Christ, and that union causes us to be born anew, spiritually alive.
Thus the phrase "born of the Spirit" refers to being "generated" (regenerated from a spiritually dead state) by being in union with God spirit.
