The Special Instantaneous Miraculous Gifts were only Given to The Twelve and The 70. No other Record of anyone else, ever.

    Those Miraculous Gifts ceased.

You might what to explain how you came to this view point.

1 Corinthians 12:1-31 with 1 Corinthians 14:1-40 suggests @Alan Gross you maybe mistaken.

28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

These are different from the ' Special Instantaneous Miraculous Gifts'.

There are plenty of 'gifts', today, that are not Special Instantaneous Miraculous Gifts.

The Special Instantaneous Miraculous Gifts are claimed, today, but you don't see them going to Saint Jude Hospital.

    They, we know, are mistaken.

If as is argued, especially by the "Reformed", that the Spiritual Gifts have ceased in the Church, then the first-hand accounts by the early Church Fathers, are untrue. Their personal testimonies are clear that these Gifts were still very much part of the Church, 100's of years after the New Testament was Written

Most 2nd century Cians are on record as saying that the miracles died out with the last Apostle

by this it was held that miracles did happen; however, there were no real persons who had the ability to do it like the Apostles

there were a few (Montanists) who believed they were still in vogue in the 2nd century.

BTW, Montanists also believed in female pastors - so there’s that

so you saying that the Church fathers, who reported what they saw that took place, were either mistaken, or lying?

The sign and wonder miracles to authenticate the New Testament have ceased according to scripture. However, God still works miracles to this day.

What is it that The Holy Spirit and the Word of God, together, can't do? ( besides sim, etc.)

"I am the God of all flesh, is anything too hard for Me".
