Read your bible.

Rom 5:1 Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Rom 5:2 through who we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand; and we boast in our hope of sharing the glory of God.

Rom 5:10 For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more surely, having been reconciled, will we be saved by his life.

Rom 10:9 because if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Rom 10:10 For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.

Eph 1:13 In him you also, when you had heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and had believed in him, were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit;

You just do not like the idea that God expects man to use his God given free will to make real choices. You continue to deny clear scripture. Since these verses are not taken out of context you will have to come up with another excuse for denying scripture, but I am sure you will try.
I read my Bible.

You preach your own actions, which cause God to respond.

You have created a variation of the Judaizers theology, which Paul calls anathema.

I quoted your own words, Silverhair. You interpret the Bible with yourself as the cause agent in salvation.

Romans 2:1, ". . . Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. . . ."

Matthew 7:2, ". . . For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. . . .".

This to us all.

Free will for man was destroyed at the fall

Unregenerate man is no longer in a neutral position in regards to sin ie able to sin or not sin

Then you would be in disagreement with Christ,
Joh 5:14 Afterward Jesus *found him in the temple and said to him, "Behold, you have become well; do not sin anymore, so that nothing worse happens to you."
Could this man life a sinless life, no, but he could choose whether to sin or not. That is unless Christ was wrong.
Joh 8:11 She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said, "I do not condemn you, either. Go. From now on sin no more."
What about this women, did Christ just tell her to do something that it was impossible for her to do?
Joh 15:22 "If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.
Before Christs’ coming people might have pleaded ignorance as an excuse for sin Act_17:30. But now that He has come, those who willfully reject Him have no excuse.
Notice that people willfully chose to sin, in other words they could have chosen not to sin.
Is man sinful, YES but that does not mean that he can not choose not to sin. God will judge man on his real free will choices.

I post scripture and you deny what it says. Then you claim I do not trust scripture, look in the mirror Austin. Your continuing denial of scripture just proves that you do not really trust what the bible says.

Do you understand the context of your one verse quotes?
Do you understand the context of my assertion against Silverhair who is stating that humans cause God to save them?

Not once do I or have I denied what scripture says. I often tell you that you are misinterpreting that scripture, which exactly what you do when you proclaim humans as the cause agents of salvation while God waits upon humans to give them grace.

I think you do not know what you think you do.

". . ." in my quotes always refer to context in mind, not quoted.

CHAPTER 3; OF GOD’S DECREE
Paragraph 1. God hath decreed in himself, from all eternity, by the most wise and holy counsel of
His own will, freely and unchangeably, all things, whatsoever comes to pass;
1 yet so as thereby is
God neither the author of sin nor hath fellowship with any therein;2 nor is violence offered to the
will of the creature, nor yet is the liberty or contingency of second causes taken away, but rather
established;3 in which appears His wisdom in disposing all things, and power and faithfulness in
accomplishing His decree.4

Your own LBCF has God decree all things, but when they realized just how bad that was they then say but not all things. They had to include an escape hatch to cover their bad theology.

Do you not understand the difference between man causing God to save them and man meeting the requirement that God has made for someone to be saved?

Read your bible. When man meets the God given requirement for salvation then God saves them. You are so blinded by your opposition to the truth of scripture that you can not see what is right in front of you.

I read what you just wrote. You teach salvation by merit, apart from grace. Those bolded words are your words, your teaching, your theology. Those bolded words are NOT God's words. Nowhere in the Bible do you find God ever making that statement.

You teach a variation of what the Judaizers taught, which Paul said was anathema.

That you cannot read your own words and see what you preach is proof that I am not the one who is blind to God's word.

When man meets the God given requirement for salvation then God saves them.

I see this as an Eternally Fatal philosophy.

It is astonishing how plainly this is stated.

The replys to the OP have unearthed a SHARP distinction, between Arminianism and Calvinism.

The sin of Our First Greatest Grandfather determined that he, nor any of his descendants, have any ability to "meet the God-given requirement for salvation".

This inability, in the "T" in TULIP defines the "Calvinistic" view of The Natural Sinful State of all Naturally born, lost souls.

Romans 5:19. "For as by one man's disobedience man were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous".

Total Depravity begins in Adam.

There is no debate.

There is denial and disbelief and disagreement, however, Jesus Came to Save that which was "lost".

The well needs Armeninism, but not a Great Physician.

The sin "sick", dead in their trespasses and sins, need a Great Physician.

The "Armenian", in name, may be an Eternal sheep, Chosen and not yet Saved, (grasping/ seeking) or an Eternal sheep, Chosen, saved, and in denial and disbelief and disagreement, on the "lost" Condition, undone, hopeless State of a Spiritually Dead Nature that God Found them in and Rescued them from, i.e.,

There is NONE GOOD, no Not One.

You MUST BE Born Again.

Regardless of what a soul "says they believe", HAVE THEY EVER BEEN LOST?

THAT is the soul Jesus Came to Save, the one whose every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

King James Bible Genesis 6:5
And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Psalm 53:2 The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt; their ways are vile. There is no one who does good.
2 God looks down from heaven upon the sons of men to see if any understand, if any seek God.
3 All have turned away, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.…

Chapter 10:

Of the Imputation of Adam's Sin to All his Posterity
His By Grace--"John Gill: A Body of Doctrinal & Practical Divinity"-Doctrinal Book 3, Chapter 10
Whose it is: it is sometimes expressed by "one that sinned"; and more than once called, the "offence of one", #Ro 5:15-16,18 and yet more clearly; "By one man sin entered"; and is called, "one man's offence", and "one man's disobedience", #Ro 5:12,17,19 for it is not the sin of one of the apostate spirits, by which men are made sinners; but the sin of one of their own species, one of the same nature, even the common parent of all mankind, and who is expressed by name, #Ro 5:14 where this offence and disobedience is called "the transgression of Adam"; and so in #1Co 15:22. "In Adam all die", being all in him, and having sinned in him, death comes upon them for it; but then this is to be understood of Adam not to the exclusion of Eve, who was also in the transgression, and first in it, and was the mother of all living. They both have the same name, the same appellative name, "man"; the same proper name, Adam, #Ge 5:1-2 were of the same nature; nay, Eve was formed out of a rib of Adam; was flesh of his flesh, and bone of his bone; a part of himself; and by their marriage relation became one flesh, #Ge 2:21-24 they had the same law given them, which forbid the eating of the fruit of a certain tree; the same covenant was made with them, and they were both guilty of the same act of disobedience; and had a sentence of punishment pronounced on them both; and which did not rest on their own persons only, but is common to all their posterity, and still continues; which shows that their posterity had a concern in their act of disobedience, in the guilt of it, since they share in their punishment, as all the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve do; as in the toil and labour of the one, and his return to the dust; so in the pains of childbearing in the other, and subjection to the man.
